Wild to think this is now in its eighth year. And for God's sake, everyone, please don't get yourself perma-banned, that just holds things up. (Plus it locks you out of here, which isn't fun either.)  |

If I can get just a touch maudlin, I do give thanks, not only for being born American and steady employment and all that, but havens to unwind and fantasize and even find a little strength, such as this Archive, and as ever the coolest snapshot of this peculiar little community continues to be the KC Strip, long may it wave. 'Tis the season of giving, and as I reflect on the gifts in our lives I of course think of the Archive, and in particular that peculiar semblance of a family album within this community of avatars, the KC Strip. All best wishes of the season and of 2012 go out to Kithara and Nimrod, and I still retain an abiding hope that my Melanie may yet be, ah, er, um, restored. |

Dear Druul, Thank you for all your encouragement. Do not worry KC Strip will continue and Melanie will be there. Just yesterday Nim and I had a good plot and concept brainstorming session. I had some great ideas about Melanie. Nim really liked it. So something will happen soon! Also there were a few people who asked to participate on the chat. Nim drew up a little picture from that talk. I do not chat very often - I'm a shy bunny.  My health has gotten better over this last year and our lives here are also in a better place. So more KC Strip.  Druul thanks for keeping the fire going here at our little post. |

Or, that sign could read "KC Strip AND Bust." I am extremely heartened to hear that life has been kinder to the two of you lately. By the way, in my own keeping with Melanie's mathemaniacal thinking, I hope Nim realizes he's only three posts away from his first M. Just about any Nimrod post under any circumstances is a fine one (much like your own) and he shouldn't worry too much about being too chatty, this place can always use a little more of him, as well as his art. |

I find it very interesting that up in the General Discussion one fairly hot topic is Power Girl having her famous bust and decolletage monkeyed with, basically reduced and/or covered. Our own Kopy Kat suggested that Power Girl would come into contact with pink kryptonite and have her hot former self restored. It's a cute idea, though about all pink kryptonite has ever actually done is to inspire Superman to hit on Jimmy Olsen in one story. On an entirely unrelated subject , valentine hugs go out today to the official bunny of the BEA.  |

Hey everyone! Yes we have some more story. I want to mention that this one is by Nimrod with some help by me so that it works with the plot we have set up. Thanks for putting up with the far too long delay and rework. Hope you all like where we go!  I want to send a special hug to DruulEmpire and others for keeping the fires burning.  P.S. You're right, Lupus was always rather clownish before, with gags like the laughably vain line "Please, not the face!", but now we're seeing just how dark he is. And I STILL wish we could reenact "Murder on the Orient Express" on his ass. (Even now, I see the name "Lupus" and still wistfully wonder about Peter Lupus from the original "Mission: Impossible" and how he was able to live that name down ... ) This storyline bizarrely brings to mind "Carcinoma Angels," one of the last stories to appear in Harlan Ellison's famous breakthrough anthology "Dangerous Visions." I cautiously recommend it -- although the ending plays a very mean joke on a zillionaire, to complete the fable. I would wish you a MUCH happier ending, basically the Harrison Wintergreen character "getting away with it" after all. I've never really noticed your tail before, it's looking fine. Between this installment and what's been sounding like relatively good news from you and Nim, 2012 is looking up. |

Hmmm... Looking at those, especially the second, put me in mind of Ben's Game. Given that it's a heck of a lot easier to make little games with Flash, I wonder if something similar is possible with Lupus. |

Being a floating mystic gem will be important soon enough. Rtpoe, Well Nim said he would like to make a little game for me. I like the idea behind Ben's Game. Thanks for sharing. We have some more strips ready! The big thing is to work out some sort of posting schedule. The idea is to post on the same day each week or even twice a week. Anyway, here is some more! |
