I luv Tiramasu. There's a restaurant here by the same name that has a couple of huge Tiramasus on the desert menu (about 10. each!) but they're fantastic.
And venison too, though I rarely get any.

I had leftover Pork Roast (no, not from Munchwolf), and of course mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Leftover night. Might as well get it over with. Now for something completely different. Make a wish . . .

This is our favorite time of day that we have our clothes on for. Whichever one of us comes home first will start dinner..(usually Dick)...we'll chill a bottle of wine....put on either some Sinatra or some nice old Jazz...turn down the lights and eat by candle light and talk and laugh about our day. Tonight I plan to bake chicken, with a nice mushroom Risotto....cut up a few bell peppers and sautee them in butter and garlic..(lightly)...and pour them on top of steamed string beans. We have a nice white Merlot...and I am in the mood for Duke Ellington.
-Peace, Dick

Heh-heh, I'm gonna go off-topic in the Off-Topic Forum:
What I had for breakfast was gorgonzola-crusted ham on dark toast with butter (and tea), and white toast with wild berry jam for dessert. Top that.

Well, not in the same mouthful, of course. Thought people would find gorgonzola-crusted ham weirder.

I'll interject on behalf of this thread AND the weather thread. For the past week or two it's been unbelievably warm here, even by SoCal standards. In the 80s this weekend (I actually wore shorts today). Last night it was so warm that I put my dog in the convertible and we had a double double with grilled onions (and no tomato) in the In-N-Out parking lot in Studio City. Excellent as always (actually, my favorite form of red meat).
Winter is always the best time of year in SoCal IMHO. It's cooler (usually, anyway) and the Santa Ana winds clear the air and what little rain we get falls in the winter. It's more like NoCal from Dec to Feb.
February 2, 2003: The Simpsons "Whacking Day" episode after 2/3 of a bottle of very respectable Pinot Grigio borders on the profound. As my pooch licks clean the remainder of a Godiva pint (Chocolate Cheesecake... just a tiny bit as Chocolate isn't good for dogs I know), I recall the lime and mint marinated chicken with a Basmati pilaf and huge white mushrooms and red bell peppers (belle as in Michelle Ma Belle courtesy of Lennon and McCartney and coincidentally the name of the first girl I ever kissed with an open mouth at the tender age of 13) all prepared on the barbeque. If it weren't for the Simpsons and the remainder of the Sunday night Fox and NBC lineups, I'd be sorely tempted in my innebriated state to get on my mountain bike and pummel my way up the hill to the nearby resivior (in lieu of getting into the convertible) til I'm exhausted.

I got to cook again .. woo hoo ...
Tonight we had ... Mac n cheese .... my style ...
Which means I cooked up the macaroni noodles in one pan (with broccoli tossed in) ... and in another I made a cheese sauce of cheddar, parm, and feta ... added some milk ... melted ...
then when the noodles were done, put em in a glass dish, covered em with a layer of freshly sliced mushrooms, poured the cheese sauce over everything, and tossed it in the over for 20 mins ... after the 20 mins were up, I put a fresh layer of shredded cheddar over the whole thing, baked for 5 more minutes .. and voila ... dinner was done ...

With another artic blast on the way - chili! Usually start with jalapenos and go from there. Chili hot enough to melt a Texan's spurs.
This time it's a mild batch that anyone can eat for family and friends. B-o-r-i-n-g!

The latest theory on busty caribbean girls, according to Caribmodel, is that living on a chicken diet is causing exessive fat accumulation around the mammary glands of caribbean teens. This symptom is known to the layman as Having Really Big Tits. A meal in true BEA spirit. Do you want milk with that?
