Finally got some whitening strips for my bluetooth

« on: February 07, 2008, 11:45:24 AM »

BEA Members with long memories and short-sightedness may remember me and the two-handfulls of morphs I did back in the day. If my screen-name rings a bell, hey, how have you been?

This is the thread where I will post whatever I have created, because, dammit, Jim, I want more exposure! I don't think I'm a narcissist, but I do find it fun to turn these things out, but without feedback, one wonders what the point is, sometimes. And if one doesn't, well, then, I do.

Lately, I've been making a few faux magazine covers. They probably descend from an idea I had for a site on the BEA, back when I found the BEA in the Jurassic Period (a kind of BEA World concept).

If I can find any of my old morphs, I may add some of them, too. For the younger members, they'd make great examples of how primitive digital morphs were in the 1950's, done as they were using razor blades, yes paste, old national geographics and zip-a-tone.

Okay, enough ramble. Here's my latest cover for the one and only Bambi Blaze. I had done one on Living for her, back when BambiCorp was a thing around here (2004?). Three years later I did a new one for her, and have managed to do a new one each month since. It's almost like a subscription to an amazing array of magazines that don't exist, but a small part of you wishes they did....

(I should also point out that I have Bambi's permission to post these here.)

This one came out in January, before the Men's Health issue. Your wives and girlfriends (and those ladies that kindly grace the forum with their presence) have probably already seen it....

I found that part funny too

One bit of feedback: the size of the font used to write "COSMOPOLITAN" is slightly off. Other than that, good job. Suggestion for a new cover: Minka on Stuff

I guess I should get around to adding some new stuff then...!

I have been making more covers, but on a site I'm not supposed to mention. I don't think I can cross post them, without jumping through lots of hoops.

Can anyone recommend any models that are on this site, that you think would like the Rackonteur treatment? (Cruk, I almost typed my name at the other place... gotta watch that!)

Anyone?

Can anybody find my old morphs for me?

I put them into the User Gallery ages and ages ago... I can't now find them amidst my hard drive or anything external... I have lost them.

The titles, IIRC, all started with RE-0##, and that may have been it, or that may have been followed by something more descriptive...

I'm pretty sure that's how they started out though... I think there were about 30 of them maybe?

Any help would be appreciated... They belong in this thread.

Let it not be said that I'm too hasty about anything...  Tongue

I'm going to start posting some rescued morphs of mine from back in the day.

Here's the first one -- perhaps the first morph I ever did...

Sure there are some obvious flaws in style, but I think I got better over time. And so did my morphs, for that matter.

I'll be darned if I know who this is. Well, let's face it, I'm probably darned anyway.

And -- wow -- I remember when a 500 pixel high image seemed like a waste of space! 300 worked just fine...

I appreciate and enjoy seeing as much of your early (and not so early) work as you feel like sharing rackonteur! Smiley I'm not the least bit bothered by lower-resolution images, or even by signs of evolving technique on the part of the artist... neither keeps a great morph from being a great morph IMO.

Did you not sign your early work, either on the pic itself or with a filename extension? I see the 're' or 'RE' ...is that the sum total of your sig? Just curious.

"RE" and a number is how I named the morph pictures. Eventually, I came up with a logo -- but I'm a bit mixed on logos. One, they immediately tell you "this is faked" which I'd rather figure out only if I need to, and not worry about when I don't need to... Two, they give you a clue how you might find more work from someone, if you like the work you're looking at. And C, in a rule that's inversely proportional to the morphs themselves, smaller is better.  Grin

Now, I've completely forgotten what "RE" is supposed to mean, as an identifier. I'm fairly sure the "R" is for Rackonteur -- but what the "E" stood for, I'm not sure ("expansions"?, "experiments"?, "eggplants"?, "existentialism"?). When I begin morphing again, I may well pick up the numbering from where I left off, but name the files "Rack-(model name/subject)-###.jpg" or perhaps "Rackonteur-(model name/subject)-###.jpg". I may also design a new, unobtrusive logo/makers mark.

And you may notice that this picture of Jenna Jameson is 004, not 003. Morph 003 is missing from the archives. If anyone out there might still have 003, please post it in this thread, when you get the chance. Thank you.

Pandora Peaks makes her first appearance. And what an appearance it is...

I'm not sure what it is about her, but I almost feel like I am physically drawn toward her somehow, as if she's got her own gravitational pull, or something. Odd (but interesting).

[Oooo, I gotta watch the timing of these posts a little better -- I almost broke the 1-1-1 rule!]

Mod edit: morphs are not limited by the Owner's 1-1-1 rule, so you may post away. I know you were also a bit unclear about what falls under 'prohibited content' ...do me a favor and re-read the rules (tab at top of page) and then PM me if anything's not clear. We don't want you abiding by rules that don't exist! Wink Thanks! -Pal

Pal, I have done you that favor. I will do my best with them, though I can't help it that legalese of any sort makes my eyes glaze over...

So, anyway, in that light, here's another morph I did back in the Ice Age. I can't quite remember her name -- Candy something? Someone must know it. She was from the photoclubs site, I think.

That's Sugar Kane, who's delicious. Dunno if that set was from Photoclubs (I don't think so) but even if it was, it's ok so long as it's morphed. -Pal Smiley

As I recall, they were originally at Danni's site. - gonZo

And here is the first of the "RE" logo'd morphs, with the lovely Casey James as subject. Note the heavy-handed eye and lip enhancements on these last two images. I get better with that, down the line. Butt did you notice the enhanced posterior above? There's more of that sort of thing later, too...

Also, I'm not sure what Casey is watching, but I think I approve of it...

Now here's a second pass at a picture I'd morphed earlier.

You may have noticed that there is no RE-003 nor RE-006 -- one of those was the first version of this. That earlier version, with the original black of the dress and no posterior expansion, I remember stumbling upon on a site of random images, presented as if it was not a morph...

I hand painted this morph with watercolors.

From The Who's Going to Care Dept.: So I was watching one of the old Dr. Who's with this actress, Nicola Bryant, in it not too long ago, for the first time in about 20 years. She and the (6th) Doctor were doing their usual thing of bickering back and forth, and playing it more or less like they meant all the snarkyness and vitriol. And for part of an episode, I was in the kitchen and could just hear the dialog, and it occurred to me: You could leave the dialog exactly as it was, and if they had just played it with a bit of a twinkle in their eye or a faint smile on their lips, it would have been so endearing, instead of so off-putting, as was. It'd be like that couple you know that always pick at each other, but you know there's love and respect underneath, and the sniping and teasing is just how they communicate with each other, almost as if maybe they can't bear how much they like each other. It could have been a very charming, unique relationship for the Doctor and his companion...
