Transponder, do you read?

I'm pretty well on my tropical island - no kidding, I finally made it to Thailand long term. Fighting a rather harmless cancer whenever I'm too bored to do anything else. Yes, we got an international clinic back in town, it's not all coconuts and mangoes - I may be romantic, but I'm not that stupid...

I still do those golden-skinned renderings now and then, send them to a few old fans and friends to have some sort of international connectedness. Fathering my Thai wife's daughter is not as fulfilling as it seemed on first look, although it helps with the lingo. But at some time last year I stopped taking my notebook with me when sitting by the surf line. There is so much beauty in the real world, and these days I'm more into painting what I see than in constructing meshes and scribbling textures of a virtual kind. All those wonders of light and structure (which made rendering so interesting), they're there before my bespectacled eyes, and I try to capture as much of it as possible, as long as it may last.

Nevertheless, it's somehow moving to hear you and some of the other fossils are still around, ten years after Behavior...
