The Christian Science Monitor: "HP TouchPad frenzy convinces HP to revive tablet"
HP TouchPad will go on sale again at the same $100 price as soon as HP can restart assembly lines. What will Apple do?

Presumably, HP's $99. touchpad pricing was intended to sell off their remaining inventory, along with whatever was already in the pipeline/already contracted for in some way. I doubt they make a penny of profit at that price (didn't we read somewhere the parts-cost alone on an iPad was about $250? ...and that's excluding the R&D, manufacturing and marketing costs, which aren't insignificant). HP 'reviving' TouchPads at $100. is probably just them changing their minds yet again... and not for the last time I'm sure. Wink
