Not sure if this belongs here, but meh*. While tooling around the internet, I found this rather large chart of nude fantasy females of many and varied species, made by one Isaac Horn**: http://www.nostalgiarush.org/stuff/tgharemlist.jpgI also found a thread somewhere asking folks to pick a "harem" from said females. I thought this was an interesting question, and decided to ask it of the folks around here. So: Question the first: If you were asked to pick a harem consisting of one girl from each box on this list, based solely on their appearance presented in that image (thus, no making choices based on your extant knowledge of a species), which ones would you pick? Answers should ideally include the species name, their alphanumeric, and a reason, although two out of three would be sufficient. You may pick second place choices for this question. Question the second: As above, but pick only one girl from each horizontal row. Question the third: As above, but pick only one girl from each vertical row. Question the fourth: Any sixteen girls. Question the fifth: Any four girls. Question the sixth, and last: Are there any girls listed you simply would not fuck? My picks: 1: A1, Sphynx: A certain amount of curiosity is involved, as I want to know what it's like screwing a quadraped; also she has a very sultry look. Second place goes to A2, Cat Folk: Just to show that I've got nothing against furries. B5, Orc: Has the biggest boobs. Second place goes to B3, Amazon: So very, very fit. C1, Gnome: She's just so CUTE, and her expression is delightfully playful; also, I'm curious about what it would be like to be with someone so small. Second place goes to C4, Quickling; again, she looks quite playful and fun-loving. D4, Drull: That tongue... Second place goes to D1, Deep Human; she's a hot goth chick, what's not to love? E1, Troll: Remember my second point about the Gnome? Like that in reverse; so tall... Also, GREEN-SKIN GIRL (I'm a sci-fi fan). Second place goes to E3: Spriggan, for basically the same reason. F2, Djinni: Gotta have blue-skin. Second-place goes to F4, Leprechaun, for basically the same reasons as the Gnome. G2, Siren: The way she's posed with the mermaid makes me think she'd pretty kinky. Also, GREEN-SKIN GIRL, and like the Drull, that tongue... Second place goes to G3, Medusa: I've always had a thing for snake-chick, and I like her "hair". H2, Rakshasa: She's very regal, it should be interested to see how that translates when in bed. Second place goes to H3, Lamia: That particular combination of humanoid and not humanoid traits intrigues me. I1, Shryne: Basically the same reasons as the Siren. Second place goes to I2, Vytherine: I imagine she'll love me long time. J4, Sky Nymph: I like her expression (actually the same can be said for all the girls in this box), and she has a second mouth on her tail, dude! Second place goes to J5, Pandoran. The combination of bald head and elongated body just does it for me; so exotic. K1, Sproutling: Green-skin, fun expression, big breasts, general exoticness; total package there. Second place goes to K2, Gigas: as with the Amazon, so magnicently fit. L1, Ettercap: All those arms and legs gets my kinky side going. Second place goes to L2, Sauhagin: I like the exotic ones, in case you haven't guessed. M2, Harpy: What's it like to make love wrapped in wings? I want to find out! Second place goes to M1, Succubus: Because she looks less forbidding than the Seraph. N5, Trixie: She looks playful and fun-looking, while the rest seem quite dour. Second-place goes to N1, Lulari: She seems to be the least angry of the remaining three in that box. O1, Vampire: I like her smile. Second place goes to O3, Wraith: So mysterious, and thus intriguing. P7, Nymph: That sultry face. That coquettish pose. Those tits. Second place goes to P8, Nereid: Her pose suggests a sassy attitude that I like. 2. B5, Orc; H2, Rakshasa; L1, Ettercap; P5, Nymph 3. A1, Sphynx; B5, Orc; K1, Sproutling; P5, Nymph. 6. With the possible exceptions of G5, Salamander, and K3, Night Wolf, there is not a girl on that chart I owuldn't love to fuck. 4. A1, Sphynx; B2, Dwarf; B3, Amazon; B4, Orc; C1, Gnome; E1, Troll; F1, Janni; F2, Djinni; F4, Leprechaun; H2, Rakshasa; K1, Sproutling; K2, Gigas; L1, Ettercap; P2, Undine; P7, Nymph; P8, Nereid. 5. A1, Sphynx; B4, Orc; L1, Ettercap; P7, Nymph. *In defense of placing the thread here, I'm hoping that this may inspire folks to discuss/write about the potential sexiness of non-humanoids. **From what I've been able to understand, it was made to advertise an adult comic entitled Feral; based on a cursory websearch, said comic may be defunct, but I'm not sure. Be that as it may, several of the races presented are of Mr. Horn's own creation, and are apparently copyrighted, although I'm not sure which, other than the Drull, which definitely is.

I hate to see this go unanswered -- I think the problem is that it's a little too dense. It's also not fun for me unless I take some of what I know about the race into account. (But I won't Google any of the ones I have no impression of.)
One from each box: A. I'd be tempted to go with A2, Cat Folk -- I definitely don't have anything against furries -- if she looked a little more human and a little less like an actual cat. But instead I'll go with the unique-looking A1, Sphynx. B. Yes, B3, Amazon, and B5, Orc, both tempt me with their large boobs. Actually, B2, Dwarf, has a pretty nice pair, too, and the braided red hair is a very nice touch. But I'll pick B1, Human, someone I can bring home to Mom, assuming she'll put some clothes on and put down the weapons to get on the plane. ("Yes, Mom, this is my wife" -- conveniently not mentioning the other wives in the harem, of course. C. Hard to choose between the three elves, but when in doubt, pick the most exotic-looking, right? C3, Dark Elf. D. I'm interested to find out just how much control D4, Drull, has over her tongue, but remember what I said about human-looking furries? D3, Cuar is about right. E. There's just something about the gray markings and the brunette ponytail on E2, Centaur. F. Obviously, one of the genies would be necessary as part of the harem, if for no other reason than to grant the wishes that would make the harem possible (for example, there's not enough room for a harem in my apartment!). F3, Efreeti, is out because she'd be setting things on fire every time she turned around. Very close between the other two genies, but again, I'll pick the more exotic-looking one, the blue-skinned F2, Djinni. G. All but G1, Mermaid look a little scary -- especially G3, Medusa, and the fact that she would turn me to stone. I'm also not sure about sex with a cold-blooded creature -- I don't want to have to turn the heat on full-blast. H. All three of these look scary. I'd like to find out about the apparent magic powers of H2, Rakshasa, but I'll go with H1, Werewolf, since presumably she'd be a little less frightening for most of the month. I. Again, these types of creatures really aren't my cup of tea. I guess if I had to choose one, I'd pick I2, Nytherine and her Asian-inspired getup. J. J5, Pandoran, is intriguing, but I think I'd end up just staring at her neck the whole time. J2, Gylphid is another interesting-looking human-furry hybrid type. K. I have to pick K1, Sproutling just because I love that design for her genitalia. (I'll assume it smells good down there, too.) L. The problem with petite races is that I'd be afraid to split them in half. But let's assume that L3, Kobold is at least talented with her tongue and mouth, since she's the right height to give me blowjobs without having to kneel. M. M2, Harpy is definitely appealing, but we know that M1, Succubus will be the best at sex on this page, period, full stop. N. N5, Trixie looks fun, but I'd say it's really between the two half-elves. I guess I'll balance out C3 by picking N4, Luren instead of N3, Moren. O. And if I have a problem with cold-blooded, imagine my problems with the undead. O4, Banshee would make things even worse by screaming all the time. But the sexiness of vampires is well-established, so I have to say O1, Vampire. P. It has to be P5, Nymph, who I assume would be second only to the succubus in providing sexual pleasure.
Picking four: B1 Human; B3 Amazon; F2 Djinni; P5 Nymph. I'm just more into humanoids than anything else.
Picking more than four: Don't think I can go up to 16, but let's say that a nice round 10 would allow me to add a couple more humanoids and then some more exotic types. To the above four, let's go with also C2 High Elf; C3 Dark Elf; D3 Cuar; E2 Centaur; M1 Succubus; N4 Luren.
Anyone I wouldn't fuck: As I've alluded to above, I wouldn't be too enthused about the cold-blooded types, or anything under 3½ feet. But I gotta admit, even if, let's say, G4 Naga or L1 Ettercap showed up at my door and offered themselves to me, I'd be more likely to invite them in than to slam the door in their faces.

I hate to see this go unanswered -- I think the problem is that it's a little too dense. Could be. I've done this on two other boards; the first time I started by simply asking the questions, then answering them piecemeal. The second I did exactly what I did here, but the title was different "Pick your fantasy race harem", which it was supposed to be here as well snip Ooh, I screwed up with the Nymph, listing her as P7. Nice choices, although obviously I don't agree with them entirely. It's interesting to note that, whenever I post this, the Sphynx is pretty popular, despite her inhuman shape. I think it's the incredibly sultry face.

There are too many choices, and too many questions.
And are we being asked to choose only from those illustrated, or from our own conception of the race/type?

There are too many choices, and too many questions. The latter was intended to help manage the former. Feel free to only answer some of 'em. And are we being asked to choose only from those illustrated, or from our own conception of the race/type?
Those illustrated.

Well, ideally I'd like to actually know the girls in question before picking, but since that's clearly not the point of this little poll, I'll go with just their various appearances. Kinda objectifying (which is bad), but in reality a 'gut reaction' is always going to make a difference, like it or not. Question the first: A2, Cat Folk: I've always been a bit of a cat person. Plus, cats tend to be pretty independant, and I like a girl who's fine with being on her own now and then. B2, Dwarf: Always a soft spot for redheads, and a very nice bust. Would be nice if she were as tall as the amazon, but then she wouldn't be a dwarf, would she? C1, Gnome: Flamethrower glove? Cool, she must be a real tech-head to be able to pull that off. Gotta respect a babe with a brain. Plus a little 'moe' there. (look it up) D1, Deep Human: I do like to go a bit dark at times, and she's definitely serious goth. E3, Spriggan: I like treants (some might recall I used a Warcraft Ancient as an avatar here for a while), and this certainly appears to be a relative. Plus, they can change size, which would make her nicely adaptable. F2, Djinni: (what's a hobgoblin doing in this square??) Bit of a toss-up between her and the Janni, but this works. G4, Naga: Snake girls, yum. Plus, I don't have a pool, and my house is flamable. H2, Rakshasa: Again, I'm a cat person, so much the same reasoning as A2. I2, Vytherine: Wow, don't know anything about this square. But I2 seems the most likely to be comfortable on land. (no pool) J2, Glyphid: Yep, another cat. See A2. Plus, don't know any in this square either. K2, Gigas: Tall, clearly a tough gal, and comes with her own axe. Got my vote. L4, Gnoll: Much the same as K2, though she kinds wins by default here... M3, Seraph: Among winged girls, I'll go with the one that has human arms and doesn't beat you over the head with sex. Plus, I like the concept of angels in general. N4, Luren: N1's a little too 'fey'. N4 is just right. O3, Wraith: Much the same as D1, just moreso. Plus, clearly a tough gal with those armor pieces and sword. P1, Dryad: Not a treant, but definitely a tree-spirit. And I like that. Plus, she doesn't beat you over the head with sex like P5 probably would. Question the second: C1, Gnome: Brains hands-down. G4, Naga: Snake girl, yum. J2, Glyphid: I'd like me some cat girl, yep yep. M3, Seraph: Angel takes the row. Question the third: M3, Seraph: An angel wins my preference over the rest in the first column. B2, Dwarf: When in doubt, go with the redhead. C1, Gnome: I just can't get over a brainy girl. D1, Deep Human: Dark wins in this column. Question the fourth: Okay, let's see... A2, B2, C1, D1, D2, D3, E3, F2, G3, G4, J1, J2, M3, N4, O3, P1. The new girls reasons: D2, Nyplid: Strikes me as a pretty tough girl, touching in someone so short. (see 'moe') D3, Cuar: Another cat-girl, but this one is just about the perfect balance between cat and human of the sub-set represented. G3, Medusa: Comes with a condition that her stone-gaze is completely turned off (as in can't use it ever), that condition was the only thing that kept her out of the running vs G4. I know, knowledge of the race, but darn it, she's a medusa! That's just not ignorable! Don't worry, G3's the only one I broke that rule for. J1, Leafling: Thematic fit with P1 and E3, plus not competing with J2. And she is awfully cute on her own merits. Question the fifth: C1, M3, O3, B2. Can check above for reasoning on each, but O3 wins mainly because she's not competing with M3 or C1 in this question. Question the sixth: Yeah, some. The Drulls (I3, D4) are just too inhuman for me, K3, L1, and L2 are also too inhuman. F3 and G5 seem most likely to set me on fire than anything else. Not saying I'd slam doors in faces, but these girls just wouldn't be invited in unless I knew them.

Bit of a toss-up between her and the Janni, but this works. WRT the hobgoblin, in a number of squares, there are girls who seem to have been shoved in becuase there's space. I2, Vytherine: Wow, don't know anything about this square. But I2 seems the most likely to be comfortable on land. (no pool) I don't know what half of these girls are, and I believe many were simply invented by the artist. P1, Dryad: Not a treant, but definitely a tree-spirit. And I like that. Plus, she doesn't beat you over the head with sex like P5 probably would. You may be the first person I've seen who didn't love the nymph.

You may be the first person I've seen who didn't love the nymph. Don't get me wrong, she's totally hot, no doubt about that. The problem is her expression. It's just so over-the-top that I can't help but think that she has major psychological issues that I just don't want to deal with.

Some interesting picks there, Silenteye. I'd say the Gnoll showing up more than once was most surprising. They're not exactly cat people. Most fantasy worlds establish gnolls as half-hyena...

While I won't go through each of them, I'm realizing that my only standard is no feathers, fire, or fur. Everything else seems fair game, and wings seem particularly fascinating. Never really thought about that before, but...wings could be cool.
The slithery snake chicks are kinda hot too, though I'm a little on the fence about hooves.
Wait, upon double-checking, they have to be human sized. The micro-women (under 3') would totally not do it for me.

You are, I think, the first person I've seen who likes the Nightwolf. Even I, who like the exotic ones, am leery of her. I salute, you sir! Some interesting picks there, Silenteye. I'd say the Gnoll showing up more than once was most surprising. They're not exactly cat people. Most fantasy worlds establish gnolls as half-hyena...
OTOH, many also classify Kobolds as lizard-y, instead of the mini-Gnoll we see here, although I have seen it this way, and almost everyone else makes Lamias snake- or dragon-chicks, instead of the more feline variety seen here (IIRC, in the original folklore, she had the body of a snake but the feet of a lion). While I won't go through each of them, I'm realizing that my only standard is no feathers, fire, or fur. Everything else seems fair game, and wings seem particularly fascinating. Never really thought about that before, but...wings could be cool. Hang on. You like wings, but dislike feathers? That seems oxymoronic. The slithery snake chicks are kinda hot too, though I'm a little on the fence about hooves. So, why are you okay with scales but opposed to fur and feathers? Wait, upon double-checking, they have to be human sized. The micro-women (under 3') would totally not do it for me.
How about the macro-women, who are over 7'?

Hang on. You like wings, but dislike feathers? That seems oxymoronic. I believe he means he's alright with the bat-winged ladies. There are a few among the selections (succubus, vampire, and nightwolf come to mind). Also, the insect-winged ones in box P.

I get that. It's still a little odd, though, especially since the only girls in that pic with feathers have wings. And I still wanna know what, precisely, he has against feathers that he doesn't have against scales. And let's not forget, an oxymoron is a combination that SEEMS contradictory but actually makes sense, such as post-modern.

It seems that the creator of the chart did a poll of his own. Here is him reporting the results, which are pretty weird to my eyes (also poorly formatted): The Feral Race pics were 16 pictures with 3-7 "attractive" female examples of various fantasy races (or as attractive as their respective fantasy race can get). I asked viewers to pick their top 5 favorite fantasy fems. Here are the results:
8th places: The Dwarf, High elf, Quickling, Nylpid, Drull, Moren, DryadPandoran, Imp?, Centaur, Sahaugin, and Vytherine were all picked only once.
7th places: The Orc, Djinni, Leprechaun, Luren, Trixie, Sylphid, Litc?..wow..Gnoll, Spriggand, Lamia, and Siren were all voted on 2 times, which I think is generous for some of these wicked ladies.
6th places: Sylvan elf, Deep human, Cuar, Mordreg, Nerim, Vampire, Banshee, Gigas?, Night wolf??, and Naga all were voted for 3 times each.
5th places: Nymph, Sphinx, Werewolf?, and Weaver received 4 votes each. Some did worse than I expected.
4th places: Amazon, Gylphid, Ettercap, Sproutling and Mermaid all received 5 voted each.
3rd places: Dark elf, Succubus, Shryne, Salamander, ans Medusa (gorgon) were voted on 6 times each.
2nd place: Lulari was the only one voted on 7 times all by here lonesome.
1st places: Fianally the Wraith(wraith??), and Sky Nymph each received 8 votes each.
Wow the wraith got first place? I expected the Sky nymph to do well, but the wraith? Well there you have it. Any other fantasy fems that aren't here didn't get voted on once. They are all in 9th places. Poor ladies. But seriously guys, the Litch? She beat so many hotties that didn't even get voted on. Oh well. I picked orc as one of my faves. What we can concur is that people like cute aliens and undead goth girls. Let me know of any thoughts, outburst, shocks, and I guess opinions on the results.

How about this.. instead of getting to pick one girl from each box.. you only get to choose one complete box.. with the understanding that all of them are in your Harem and it is all or none. So.. if there was one of them that you didn't like.. you would have to at least try to make an effort.. so as not to cause dissension between you and the ladies to maintain harmony.
In this scenario, I would go with Box "P" and have to get used to the Undine.

Certainly an interesting wrinkle to the idea... But I'd have to go with the girls of box C.
The Gnome ya know my affection for, and though she'd possibly cause some problems with random tinkering, I'm pretty sure I could enjoy that. The Quickling would be the ultimate ADHD girl, of course. But then I've got a touch of that myself, so I can deal. The only real problem would be getting the three Elves to get along with each other. And most of that would be the Light Elf/Dark Elf issue. A bit enormous, I admit, but I'd figure something out. In my favor would be the fact that the Dark Elf would be facing 2-1 odds against, and the other two are less prone to random acts of aggression...

Hmmm I'd have to go with P as well... Mainly because those girls are girls that want to have fun... plus I don't think they wouldn't mind having each other to play around with when I'm not there to satisfy them... Plus most of those girls gifted magically so who knows what could happen when things get kinky!

Hmm, that is a tough choice, made harder by the fact that I can't just delete the boxes with girls I wouldn't fuck, since there are only two of those, as stated above (the Night Wolf I think because she's scary, the Salamander because while girls who are scaly, girls who are big, girls without legs, girls who are bald, and girls who are on fire can appeal to me, all of them together is a bit much).
Hmm, I'm gonna go with B or F, I'm not sure which. I can't decide if B's abundance of tit outweighs F's playful magic or vice versa.
Hmm, here's a question, one that's probably the hardest of all; if you had a harem of all of these ladies, with status based on how often you fucked them, how would they be ranked? Either tiers or from #1 to #87 (which I doubt would be possible to do) would be permissible.

hmmmm, the questions are a bit on the complicated side. perhaps it would be simplest to put it this way:
Beings I would be especially want in my harem: C2) High Elf (she's just very pretty/alluring) D1) Deep Human (scary goth creature girl... definitely a must have) D2) Nylpid (I like the tail, and her figure) F3) Efreeti (she just looks hot to me, literally) G1) Mermaid (always wanted to) G2) Siren (ok, tentacles... need I say more?) I2) Vytherine (I kinda like the snake-girl look, and this one manages to be very pretty as well as fitting the kink) J3) Sky Nymph (did you guys notice there's a mouth on the end of her tail? omg!) K1) Sproutling (call it a fetishistic outgrowth, pun intended) of crushing on Poison Ivy as a little girl) K2) Gigas (dino-girl! and she's really big too... ) L1) Ettercap (weird, i know, but i like spiders and, she looks "dangerous" which is kinda hot) M1) Succubus (she looks like she knows how to have a good time) M3) Seraph (the angel look is kinda hot) O1) Vampire (obligatory) O4) Banshee (she looks passionate) P3) Sylphid (fairy wings! but she's not tiny) P7) Nymph (she's just super hot)
Beings I'd rather not have in my harem: A2) Cat Folk (too 'furry') B4) Goblin (too little) C1) Gnome (too little) E1) Troll (the face is a bit too much) F4) Leprechaun (too little) H1) Werewolf (too 'furry') H2) Rakshasa (too 'furry') K3) Nightwolf (too 'furry') L3) Kobold (too small) L4) Gnoll (too 'furry') P4) Pixie (too small) P7) Sprite (too small) (notice a trend?)
All other beings are "OK" for my harem.

Bad Kitty: I'd like to apologize for taking so long to respond to you. Moving on... hmmmm, the questions are a bit on the complicated side. This does seem to be the consensus, which is irritating because they were supposed to make figuring out which girls you want in your harem easier. Beings I would be especially want in my harem: Would it be presumptuous to ask you to rank them by desirability (a project I myself am working on for my Questions Four and Five)? J3) Sky Nymph (did you guys notice there's a mouth on the end of her tail? omg!) It is one of the reasons I, for one picked her. K2) Gigas (dino-girl! and she's really big too... ) Hang on. You think the Gigas is saurian? May I ask why? Beings I'd rather not have in my harem: A2) Cat Folk (too 'furry') B4) Goblin (too little) C1) Gnome (too little) E1) Troll (the face is a bit too much) F4) Leprechaun (too little) H1) Werewolf (too 'furry') H2) Rakshasa (too 'furry') K3) Nightwolf (too 'furry') L3) Kobold (too small) L4) Gnoll (too 'furry') P4) Pixie (too small) P7) Sprite (too small) (notice a trend?)

I do indeed notice that trend. I'm curious as to which item you find more off-putting the shortness or the furry-ness.

I could probably rank them, need caffeine first though Look at the Gigas feet first. then notice the tail she has. then notice her hands are 2-fingered and clawed (with thumbs added to hold things), them more subtly the thigh/hip area in terms of its shape. She just subtly reminds me if you put an Elf in a blender with a T-Rex. I don't find excessive smallness "off-putting" exactly, it's purely a matter of practical considerations. How do you make serious love with someone who can only reach 10% of your skin surface area? plus if you roll over you'd crush them. it just strikes me as wildly impractical. The furry-ness is a little off-putting though. And I'd say its probably literally the fur itself which is the main issue for me there. Also, most of the furry ones remind me of pets people keep, which creates an extra level of awkwardness.

I could probably rank them, need caffeine first though Cool. Look at the Gigas feet first. then notice the tail she has. then notice her hands are 2-fingered and clawed (with thumbs added to hold things), them more subtly the thigh/hip area in terms of its shape. She just subtly reminds me if you put an Elf in a blender with a T-Rex. It's just that I had previously heard the DRULL referred to as being a dino-girl. I don't find excessive smallness "off-putting" exactly, it's purely a matter of practical considerations. How do you make serious love with someone who can only reach 10% of your skin surface area? plus if you roll over you'd crush them. it just strikes me as wildly impractical. Ah, but you don't have the opposite problem with the big girls. Still I see your point. I personally would like to give it a try anyways. BTW, why isn't the Imp in the too small category? The furry-ness is a little off-putting though. And I'd say its probably literally the fur itself which is the main issue for me there. Makes sense. How come you're okay with the Cuar and the Lamia? Also, most of the furry ones remind me of pets people keep, which creates an extra level of awkwardness.
Really? The only one who strikes me that way is the Cat Folk.

I had to work on my car yesterday, in the rain, in the cold, for several hours. so, I got some pretty bad muscle cramps, and I took some pain meds. In other words, again i need to wait till my head is working to rank my list hehe. _
the drull is even more reptillian I think, true. whereas the gigas looks like elf-dino-mix to me. _
I don't have the opposite problem with big girls because I am a big girl, so harem members who are as large or possibly even slightly larger than myself, is actually kinda appealing, just from the standpoint of not having to be the one to tower over everything all the time. _
I guess the imp is too small also, yes. though i really like the wings&tail look, but yes, too small. _
the lamia seems to have a surprising lack of fur by the way the artist drew her. the cuar... eh... i should probably add that to my 'no' list. _
anything with the head of a canine or feline looks like a house pet to me, no matter what the rest of the body looks like, it's just not "erotically viable" for me.

In case anyone's interested the pic fueling this dicussion is one of the things that inspired me to write this thread: http://www.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/docs/701/701420.htmlI had to work on my car yesterday, in the rain, in the cold, for several hours. so, I got some pretty bad muscle cramps, and I took some pain meds. In other words, again i need to wait till my head is working to rank my list hehe. My apologies for taking so long to respond. the drull is even more reptillian I think, true. whereas the gigas looks like elf-dino-mix to me. I just can't see it myself. Oh, well. I don't have the opposite problem with big girls because I am a big girl, so harem members who are as large or possibly even slightly larger than myself, is actually kinda appealing, just from the standpoint of not having to be the one to tower over everything all the time. I gotcha. As a short guy, I suppose I kinda have the inverse going on, but I ALSO find the big girls appealing. Weird, huh? the lamia seems to have a surprising lack of fur by the way the artist drew her. I don't think her upper body is furred, but he rlower body definitely is, although it's hard to see it asides from her legs.

Whoa, whoa, hang on one cotton-pickin' minute -- how long have these DRULL been around!?!?!? Personally I would have designed them as a one-eyed python ... They are, apparently, an original creation of the artist, Isaac Horn. I don't suppose you'd be interested in making some choices? (he asked hopefully)

JH is the most prolific of BEA Addventurers, and yet to this day he says that he can never write a sex scene. He'll set them up, or suggest their immediate aftermath, yet shies away from the sex itself. In a vaguely similar way, I as the Addventure's sixth most prolific writer (struggling in vain to keep from being demoted by the industrious Dragon FangX) am ultimately not really that kinky. I love me the procreationally-designed in-out-in-out and honestly not much else. So a lot of this is automatically lost on me. You can go sell me all you like on "oh, that tongue" or "oh, those limbs" but they don't do anything for me -- in fact, I look at the Ettercap and worry that, even after I've satisfied her, she may still rip my head off and eat it, in true black widow fashion. If that undercurrent of danger works for you, then good fortune be with you and go thy way in peace. About all I can say is that the older I get, the less extraneous drama I like with my sex. Another problem is that I think rather seriously about evolution and anatomy and all those good things. As a writer I am a fan of mythology and greatly enjoy the symbolism of transposing human and animal qualities, but I would feel quite badly for any biological being stranded in that twilight neither-nor world of the anthropomorphic beast. This goes a bit deeper than my just being a little conservative -- I frankly worry that the dignity and character of the animal itself is often compromised when you go sticking human parts or similarities on it. (All the cutesy-wutesy anthropomorphic Disneyfying of animals actually creeps me out, somehow Beatrix Potter did it better.) There's a reason why Wells wrote about Dr. Moreau, y'know? And, sure, I love breasts -- but this haphazard sticking of breasts, the most mammalian feature we mammals possess, on reptile-women and insect-women and plant women doesn't sell me. Let me put it to you this way: I WOULD love to do your Centauress -- but only if I could be a Centaur. (Centaurs make a little sense to me, humanity's partnership with horses has enriched us greatly.) Take wings. Wings don't in and of themselves turn me off -- heck, I could imagine a girl extending and flexing her bat wings as a kind of equivalent of a puppy dog waving its tail, indicating an enjoyment of sex. But let's face it, they're vestigial -- and if they're vestigial, then why are they even there? A true pegasus, for example, would require simply enormous wings to carry its own weight. Maybe someone will eventually design a slim light humanoid designed like a flying squirrel, and then you can get back to me. Basically, I can't relax very well with anything magical, and many of these are flatly magical. They can't even exist in the first place, so to expect an accessibility of language and psychology and anatomy is torturous enough without the nagging worry that they may even SHAPESHIFT DURING THE ACT ITSELF. So I can do a Centauress if I'm a Centaur, and I could simply go ahead and do the Amazon, if only to have a chance to be able to say I survived the experience (and to get my face in all that zoombala-zoombala). Beyond that, it's trickier. The Sproutling? The Nymph? Maybe -- but I'd have to do some feeling around down there first. (I have long believed that "pornography," which literally means "whore art," might be better termed "nymphography" -- and you can't have nymphos without nymphs. ) By the way, I'm not anti-fur. The novel Shibumi by Trevanian features a tantalizing description of the Basque legend of the Basa-andere, a gorgeous naked woman covered with a fine golden fur. Throw in a Basa-andere and I'm good to go. Finally we get to elves -- but frankly I would just as soon go with their science fiction cousins, the Vulcans. (I'll never forget the time when Kirk, seeking to get a rise out of Spock, told him "You're an elf with a hyperactive thyroid!") Jolene Blalock as T'Pol -- need I say more? And what if she went through her Pon Fahr once every seven HOURS? Sorry that I'm not much more adventurous. You are clearly ablaze with fascination with this and I credit your candor and thoroughness. Maybe as this sort of thing gets done better, it will make more sense to me. Nowadays there's a fairly sad-looking web comic called Monster Lover featuring one Adam Zosh schtupping his way through non-humans. (Or would it be co-humans?) If the storytelling gets any better, maybe I'll be able to find more of these amenable. addendum: oh, and by the way, don't go shattering this into its constituent paragraphs and then scrutinizing it piece by piece like you're a professor critiquing my Ph.D. thesis. If you feel you're more open-minded than I am, then I will simply concede that point right here and now. I had a big general reaction, I wrote this all of one piece, and there are only a few specific options that interest me -- nuff said.
