Piers Anthony Is One Of Us
« on: September 28, 2003, 12:18:04 PM »
Piers may have had a mention before, I'm not sure.

But for those of you who have not heard of him, his Xanth series of books are litered with busty young ladies in revealing costumes showing themselves off to lucky young guys.

Look out for Nada Naga, Chameleon, Centaurs & Mermaids in particular!

He likes having a lot of sex scenes in his books, period.  I remember a couple of busty ladies, though, from the Xanth books, and there's at least one described as having "magnificent orbs" in the Bio of a Space Tyrant (I want to say in the third book or so, but it's been 12 years since I read them.)

And didn't he write a story where incredibly busty women were hooked up to a milking machine?  I know it's in one of Harlan Ellison's Dangerous Visions books, but I may be comfusing Anthony with another writer there.

Oh yes he is! He wrote a short story (called  The Barn, I believe) in which the protagonist travels between alternate Earths. He ends up on an alternate Earth where there are no dairy cattle, and all milk comes from enslaved, domesticated humans (with huge, milk laden breasts, of course). He finds himself torn between the intense sexual attraction he has for one of the "cows" (who also happens to be the double of a woman he has a major crush back on Earth Prime), and his revulsion to seeing humans treated as animals.

That's right.  The story is called "In the Barn" and appears in the Harlen Ellison anthology "More Dangerous Visions".  Unfortunately, the cowgirls are a lousy lay--they're designed for bull-sized "bull-men" and for easy birthing, so they're very loose down below.

Piers Anthony is a dirty old man. God Bless him. I remember being an impressionable young lad reading his Xanth and other novels and being totally engrossed over the long detailed passages he'd write concerning the voluptous curves of some young female character. Outside the bra and panties section of the Sears catalog, this was the first thing resembling porn I ever came in contact with.

She was going to call AAA, but I took her jumper cables and attached them to my HHH hooters, and her car started up in a flash." ~ Pandora Peaks in an interview with Hustler's Busty Beauties

Well, being a "bull man" myself the story was still a turn on for me when I read it. (I've had more than my share of "thimble women", and those who hear that I have a big one and get me "in the mood" just so they can see it and then leave me hard and dry.) The turn off was (if I remember correctly) that the protagonist had to kill off his "cow woman" girlfriend.

I think you have all of them. The story "In the Barn" is also in his collection of stories called "Anthonology", I think. In his notes at the end, he jokingly says that he planned on writing a sequel and calling it "At the Ranch".
Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

Yeah, I remember one of his Xanth books when I was in High school nearly 10 years ago; one with a girl whose clothes shrank in the water while swimming and exposed her awesome busom and such to some lucky guy. Was definately cool to run across such fetish based literature in a high school library and so much material related to what I am into and was one of the early materials that caused me to look more into a fetish that I didn't know so many people were into.

How if they would just make some movies based on many of his stories.

Ya gotta admit, though, the guy seems a little unusually obsessed with panties...

I think that would Pornucopia.  I'm not really sure since I haven't actually read that one.
“HEY, HOLD UP!” Chaka said.  She turned to Jade, “Did you just say that there are monsters in the sewers?”

Jade looked up at her sempai and smiled, “I’m sorry, but as a Junior Waste Management Technician, I am not authorized to discuss this issue.”

For a long time, the whole group stared at the little girl in horror as she licked the spoon.

Exhibit A:

Quote:

She had been right the first time, Electra thought. Nada's dress clung to her tightly, except where it was forced to jump the gap across her heaving bosom. If the ghost floated close enough to kiss her, he would get the best view available in Xanth.

"That might encourage him," Grey said. He looked in to the blank air. "Ghorge–" he paused, evidently waiting for the ghost. "We would like to know which goblins have captured Che Centaur. Nada Naga, the woman with the—" He hesitated, his eyes traveling across wet assets and valley-hurdling cloth, until Ivy made a frowning ahem. "The amazing, uh, dress, she, er, will let you kiss her, if you answer."

Nada walked to the center of the chamber, put her hands behind her back, lifted her chin, pursed her lips, closed her eyes, and inhaled. Her décolletage went into terminal strain. Ivy crossed quickly to Grey and put her hands over his eyes just as the last event was starting. That was probably just as well, Electra thought, because those eyes had been in danger of popping loose.
