I'm sort of testing an idea, and it's just in it's 'can it be done...?' stage. At this point, before I go out an spend any money on Poser, I'd like to ask for some assitance. Could any poser user out there please send me a file? Any female figure, in any pose, naked or clothed, exported as an .obj file. You can e-mail it to me at Gunny_one@yahoo.com - and I promise you'll get to see what I'm working on.... (*grin*) Thanks in advance, Gunny |

I tried to export as an obj.. no joy... I dont get it ..I can inport objs to my poser stage but it wont convert a poser figure PZ3 file to obj... I do know where you can get maya doll for free with no strings attached...try http://www.3digitalcrafts.net/studiomaya/1download/mdb/index.html maya doll is a really nice little 3d model.. regards PE |

i would give you one, but how to export to .obj? is that when you set a library preset into the character library? and btw,  i didnt buy poser 5 or any of the multitude of itemtries i have I can send a V3, V2, P4, P5, and etc. women |

With all the whistles and bells turned on and rendering to say 200 dpi it can take up to 30mins per render in poser5.. Renders in Vue using Volumetric atmospheres can take a little longer if you render to its highest setting.. cheers PE |

Well, thanks for the offers to help - but I broke down and got Poser 5.
However, I'm having a problem - my characters look 'blocky'. (Especially the *GASP* breasts.)
Anybody know how to fix this...?
Oh, BTW - what I wanted to test before I got it was a program called PoseRay, which lets me import poser figures into Moray/POVray, which I'm not only more familiar with, but which allows me much better control over lighting and textures...
Anywho, here's my first shot at Posing with 5 - let me know what you think.

thats a pretty good first render! Is this the stock poser 5 Judy?? Judy has some real problems when it comes to trying to enlarge her breasts IMHO.. Victoria 2.0 or 3.0 is the way to go... Ive been using anime doll of late as she is a challenge.. As far as the blocky look rendering to a higher /longer setting helps some...A better model to start with like Victoria helps alot...they will still need a little touch up in photoshop from time to time... A flawless perfect render is a rare bird .. looking forward to more ...be advised this stuff is addictive! cheers PE

hell yeah, use that v3 from daz3d.com
its hi-res and you can get photo quality/cinema textures for all the parts.
And if you can afford it, i know i cant, get Volumptous Vicky, she has breast and ass magnets for a goon and easy enlargement.
