Is Adama's Index down?

I havn't been able to get to it or has the address changed?  Or is it some other problem?

the index adress changed i know i had that problem myself last night luckily somone i know who keeps a link to the chive on their site was able to get me to the chive about where the skinsuits start and from their i backtracked to the ep 1 and went ot the index

Eh?  The Index is still in the same place it always was.

Oh wait, I see a possible problem -- the link to the Index from the main Addventure page is missing a "/" on the end of the URL.

The timestamp on that page hasn't changed since two years ago, though.  Perhaps the problem is that the server software, or the directory security, has changed recently to block access to directories using that type of URL?  That might explain why you might also have a problem if you were using a bookmark based on that page's link.

I'd say you should make a bookmark (or change your existing one) to either  http://www3.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/trees/  or to  http://www3.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/trees/index.html

Or is that not the problem?

Looks like that's the problem to me, Adama. Your links in this topic work fine. The one from the AddVenture pages does not. Might want to tap MarkT and mention it.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.  I suspect your analysis is correct, Adama -- the server's security features were probably recently upgraded to disallow that type of URL.
