Well, it's been a while...
« on: July 22, 2001, 05:49:00 AM »
but I finally got around to doing a few more animations.  The 3 new ones are all animated art pieces.  2 are from the EXCEPTIONAL furry artist Gideon.  The other is a joint effort (that is actually still in progress) between myself and St. Stephan.  His holiness was kind enough to provide me with several, slightly variated poses of the same artwork created by Bill Ward.  Stephan used his talent to create several reference frames that I am using to create an actual animation.

The new file names are HappyCouple.avi, Boobaconstrictor.avi and Ward105b.avi.

They can be found at: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/maxc246

Enjoy.  As always, critiques are welcome. (yes, both positive and negative.)

Later,
Max C.

Feh. I accessed your briefcase just fine. That Boobaconstrictor file is a riot! If I may ask, what proggy are you using?

Hmmm.... that's very interesting.  If you click on the link I typed in the first message, you get a disabled message....

Just copy the link and paste it into your browser URL field.  That seems to work fine.

Let me know if it doesn't and we'll think of something else.

Oh, and Sheber, I use Kai's PowerGoo.  I've been creating files in that manner since about 1998.  I had hoped to convert to SuperGoo, but the tools just don't work well enough to produce the same quality animations as PG.  It's a shame, too... because SuperGoo allows for animations in ratios other than perfectly square.

As I understand it... there's still a page somewhere out there that is a tutorial I wrote years ago.  Where?  I have no idea.  When I retired from the BEA, my gallery only stayed around a few months.

Hope that answers the question.

-Max.

Thanks Max. Its what I thought you were using. I have that program but have never been able to make an animation like that with any degree of satisfaction. Keep up the good work.

"Just copy the link and paste it into your browser URL field.  That seems to work fine."

This appears to be quite a common Yahoo! problem and solution.

By pasting I get through to the folder all right, but it's empty.

St. Stephan, are you signed into Yahoo before you click the link?

If not try doing that first.

The link works fine if you copy and paste it... at least for now. But as time goes on it will surely get disabled as all Yahoo links do..

Very nice briefcase full of interesting things Max, keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the input on the problems guys.  I'm sure you're right.  The briefcase will eventually get canned.  Maybe I should start looking into another place to keep the animations.  Mayhaps the BEA would like to host me again... but I'd REALLY like for my stuff to be free to the public.  I get enjoyment from others enjoying my stuff.

I still have dozens more that I never converted to DIVX that I haven't re-posted on the web.  I'm sure when I find a permanent home I'll make that happen.

C ya,
Max.
