Also need to mention Frank Frazetta, who was really one of the first contemporary fantasy authors to indulge his love for curves on a woman in his art. Greg Hilderbrandt has in the past few years strayed away from traditional Tolkein fantasy illustrations and taken up doing pin-up art and some his stuff has quite the busty lass featured in it. And in the '70s Berni Wrightson and Vaughn Bode teamed up to do a saucy comic strip for Cavalier magazine with many numerous big-boobed wenches.

One heroine who made a brief but spectacular appearance was FATALE, an unapologetically huge-busted woman on the run from a conspiracy.

I could've missed it, but I didn't see any mention of an obvious candidate:  CATWOMAN, whose tits have (inexplicably) grown quite huge over the years.

A somewhat famous story about POWER GIRL, but it bears repeating:

Artist Wally Wood, himself no slouch as drawing big-chested women, kept drawing Power Girl with bigger and bigger breasts, waiting to see how long it would take before somebody noticed and/or told him to cease and desist.  Since she's not flying around with zeppelin-sized boobs, I guess we can be sure that somebody caught on eventually.

Excellent list. An addition: a bunch of graphic novels by Noe, an Italian, including "Doctor, I'm Too Big!" and "Piano Tuner".

Go pick up a copy of Heavy Metal at Barnes and Noble
or wherever. All these graphics novels can be ordered
from ads in the magazine. If you order, you'll get
a catalog listing every adult comic and hentai manga
imaginable. You will also probably get put on several
mailing lists and get catelogs there. So be careful
which address you use.

You might also do a web search on "Eurotica" and/or
"Amerotica". I think this is the company that publishes
these graphic novels.

I've also seen these books for sale in comics stores
that carry adult themes. 18 or older required, of course.

Wonderfull lists, just the kind of thing I go to this web site for.  I really apreaciate trystonline.com.
In the past there were quite a few "live tits" vs "cartoon tits" arguments here, but I always wondered if the guys who loved live tits so much were also the ones asking for bigger and bigger morphs, which, to me, are nothing more than cartoons.
Anyhow.
To Robert A Gilmour:
Wasn't "Bazooka Jules" produced in England?
I bought a used copy of "Breast Duel" in AZ last summer.   Corrina Sexton wrote and Daniel Pascarelli provided the art.
And Frank Cho is curently doing a "Shana the She-Devil" mini-series for Marvel that is a direct steal off of "Cavewoman" right down to the huge tits and extra dense skin.
BTW, how could you not mention the work of Fred Perry?  His "Gold Digger" consistantly includes some of the biggest busted women in comics done in his highly pleasing manga influenced style. In particular, Britanny, the giant were-lepoard, is really huge and often trots around in a T-shirt that proudly states "YES THEY ARE REAL!"
Speaking of anomorphized females with giant tits, try macrophile.com, particularly the works of Kolt, Wolf and Cougr.

Yes, Bazooka Jules is "Made in England", but worthy of being listed as "Busty, but Not Manga" (which is the real distinction being made in this thread, I thought).

As for Fred Perry, he's certainly a favorite artist of mine. Perhaps I should have included him in my list.

Finally, here's the cover for the first issue of Shanna, the She-Devil. Frank Cho is a frequent contributor to Basement Comics (i.e. good friend of Budd Root, the creator of Cavewoman), so I think calling it "stealing" is an exaggeration. Besides, wasn't the original Shanna made many years BEFORE the first Cavewoman?

Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

Something of a tangent, perhaps, but for examples of some reasonably big-breasted musclegirls drawn anime-style, you might check out David C. Matthews’ website:

Well, The Herald (are you from New York, BTW?), the thread is titled BUSTY  AMERICAN   COMICS LIST!
I guess saying Frank Cho stole the Cavewoman idea did sound a little harsher than I meant it to.  I am quite familure with the fact that Cho has done work for Root on the Cavewoman comic and I am sure what he's doing with Shana has Roots approval.  Cho is one of the "young lions" of the industry, equally adored by fans and critics alike and two things be loves to draw are huge busted women and monsters and Shana really fills the bill.  And lets face it, Shana was originally a blatant copy of Sheena, Queen of the Jungle.  So much for original ideas.

It's true that the thread title specifies American, but Robert_A_Gilmour (his "Loc:" says he's from Scotland) went on to say in his first line: "BUSTY AMERICAN COMICS LIST. Or any that are not from East Asia."

You've got me curious though, what made you think I might be from New York? Can't be my accent, I have the typical "Midwestern drawl" from the upper midwest states and middle provinces of Canada.

Oh, I saw that you now live in Wisconson.  It's just that the most famous Hearld I know is the New York Hearld Tribune, the late, great newspaper.
BTW, the latest issue of Shana came out today and Cho is really out doing himself.  In one scene, two of the men traped with Shana in The Forgotten Land are having a debate about just how big her tits are.  They settle on 40DD, but I think they're bigger.
Hey!  Don't forget to add "Shaundra the Savage She-Male" by Philo to the list.  Meant as a parody of Red Sonja, the huge breasted Shaundra has been cursed with a huge dick between her legs that shows up at just the wrong times.  Please buy the comics and don't frequent any illegal web sites that might feature this strip.
