This forum is for any person to announce an update to their site or an existing site or for the creation of a new site.

The purpose is to make it very easy to find out what new stuff is happening all over the community across the web.

Feedback can be left here or in the Feedback forum.

I agree with this whole heartedly! people start putting up the web address for whatever you are updating. I am around this forum quite a bit and still have trouble figuring out who does what and what pages or site they are part of...

 Hi,

I'd like to add that the Update Announcements forum is intended as a resource for the BEA community... while a site being posted (notice of an update) doesn't necessarily have to be hosted at the BEA, that IS the primary purpose of this forum/service. Promoters from other websites (especially those with a financial interest in what they're advertising) are not automatically entitled to make repetitive posts here (bordering on spam), nor to violate the terms of their user agreement at the BEA under any circumstances.

All too often lately we've had incidents where agressive webmasters from outside the BEA seek to gain free advertising here to our thousands of users and in so doing, they've been rubbing some members of the community the wrong way: either by their methods, or the nature of their content, or both.

Access to the forums is not a right... it's a privilege conditioned upon adherence to both the LETTER and SPIRIT of the Owner's policies (the terms of the user agreement)... posts that are considered to be detrimental to the community as a whole will not be permitted.
