A Story Archive Question...

I know this is always a hot topic, but will there be an update at the Story Archive anytime soon?

If those demanding to oust Mark T have there way, no.  Why should he when he gets flamed for not doing a continual, up to the second posting?

I hope there's one soon, but if not, I can wait.

Now come on Sencho - action figure related anecdotes aside - I think that while it probably doesn't help to go on about the story situation that you're massively over-simplifying.

The fact is that MarkT has - apparently - had oppurtunities to hand the stewardship over and is not blameless.

Just to add an unrealistic and inapplicable analogy to add weight to my argument - you say Mark is a volunteer, I agree. However in my town we have volunteer firemen, if they were busy for a few months when a house was on fire I imagine the town would burn down, hardly desirable.

Thusly - without actions figures - I hope to have demnostrated that even though a position maybe voluntary and is without pay, it is not without responsibility. So please stop saying MarkT is blameless.

Although compared to former archivers he is still by far the best. The system that he has implemented is great and certainly he has done a great deal to help but quite why he has insisted that he retain control when he could have passed it on is beyond me.
