*Fucking speachless*
For the first time, I have felt upset about the death of someone from a forum (Partly because of not knowing the person particulary well) I never really spoke to Stretcher, but always looked forward to his morphs. I know I'm not a big poster on this site, but I have seen his posts on Expansion Mansion and have praised his works.
Photoshop just lost a great user.
Rest well Stretcher, rest well.

I'm going to go out on a limb... Something here doesn’t make sense. In the, Site forum, there is a post about someone stealing passwords. Stretch’s last post was 3pm 042906.
I'm going to call BS...
BUT the moment this is confirmed I'll apologize and give my respects. Either way the pillars of this site never cease to amaze me with their collective empathy and concern.

While Stretcher's password was among the stolen, the message that started this thread was posted from the same place where he registered his account.

Holy crap! Well, let's hope there's some other explanation...maybe an angry ex- or someone else who has access to his computer. At times like this, any rationale is better than the worst...

Geezus aitch keerist.... I'm stunned. Every time I saw that he'd contributed a morph, I knew his work would be top notch. Sorry folks, I'm not thinking coherently here. I was recently thinking about one day bringing cherri to San Fran and was hoping to ask Stretcherr if he wanted to meet up. Don't think cherri's seen this thread yet. Gonna give her a call now (I got into NYC about 6 hours ago) and break the news.

Why the drive by post? Why not follow up with some more info. Just wanted a link to the news story. Something like this would make the news. It smells fishy, and if it is true, I sure wish the original poster would come back and comment on the news link request.

That's really f-ing infuriating. It sucks that in this world decent people always end up paying the price for the selfishisness and madness of others. If this is in fact true, then the mans a hero, and should be treated as one. Rest in Peace buddy

I never got to know Stretcherr, but he sent me a very sweet message on 04/29/06 03:16 PM, asking to collaborate with me on some morphs. I sent a reply without having even read the boards, and now just feel odd knowing he won't get to read it.

You and me both. I've found the same things you have. The most recent shooting fatality was yesterday afternoon at 4:19 p.m., but that was way after the first post in this thread.
Does anyone know that Stretcherr was really from San Francisco? I've noticed on more than one occasion a person lists one location in their profile, but then when you read their posts, they mention living in a different locale...

There were several shootings ... just not all reported by the same press ... The 4:19 pm shooting was of a 19-year old man. Stretcher mentions he is 40 in his yahoo profile (that is if we trust that). Later in the same article (7:15 pm) a 17 year old male was shot. At 11:50 pm a man was shot by the zoo. No information about the victim is given. Yesterday I had seen another article about 3 people shot in two seperate incidents, 2 girls in one, and in another a 40-year old hispanic gentleman (whose name was not Jim), but they didn't appear to be fatal. That article is no longer findable. All 6 of the above shootings happened on the same day .. Saturday. So, I'm not sure if we will find an article. Most news agencies don't appear to cover shootings (or if they do, they only list one and ignore the rest), and they seem to be fairly frequent. -Munch "That's all I got" Wolf

This is horrible and I hope untrue. I've also searched for verification to this tragic news, and can't find a news item describing this situation in the San Francisco area which would offer some form of confirmation.
We love your Stretcherr, and I'm hanging on to lots of hope that you're alive and well.

I have to say, the more I think about it the more bogus it sounds. I hope I am right. He went out to run off drug dealers? Wouldn't a call to the police be safer? He was hit by a stray bullet? So he went out to run them off, and a gun battle erupted, coincidentally striking him? Stray bullet shootings make the news. No sign of it? No follow up by his "friend?" It is not adding up, and I hope I am right that this is a hoax.

Although the tendancy appears to be for members to keep their faith private and to themselves around here (ref: Goober in Site Issues Forum)
Please allow this "fundy" to say that my prayers will include Jim's family, and his noble friend Marc who selflessly took the time to consider all Jim's fiends (known and unknown) out here in the cyberworld as well.
God bless you Marc, God rest your soul Jim, and God heal the pain felt by all Jim's family and friends.

Obits usually appear a couple of weeks after the event though. I can understand this, it takes a certain type of mindset to think of an obit for a loved one.
Still hoping...

No. I forgot to mention that I had also written a thoughful PM just shortly before anyone notice he was missing. I notice that he hasn't responded to them. He has been known to be feisty and passionate on the forum. If he was alive he would of been passionate about expressing his views.
