Silimed Implants and Danielle Derek
« on: May 23, 2006, 07:32:17 AM »
Hi All

Attached is a photo of Danielle Derek's new boobs. They are somewhat swollen and will take a number of months (as many as 6) to settle.

Can anyone confirm if she used Silimed 1000cc implants and what volume they are filled to? Overs or unders?

I also wonder who her surgeon was in NY? I guess thats a question for her. I will contact her through her web site and see if I get a response.

Any information that can help answer these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Suzy

Hi Suzy!

As for Danielle's implants I have only guesstimates, Danielle herself knows better. On the surgeon I can say something though: Danielle had her BA surgery in LA, not in NY.

Dear Suzy1 et al;

I notice scarring around the aerolae rims, suggesting incisions there on both her breasts likely for the "through the nipple" type of implant procedure.

Does anyone know if this is the case with her latest surgery or was it from a previous incision?

From what I have read, my findings indicate that 'thru the nipple' implantation results in tremendous loss of sensitivity in the breast and in the nipple in particular.  FWIW It also renders the breast viturally functionless.

Does anyone else have any further or contrary information?

Kindest regards,

Bone...

Hi Psf_79

Firstly thanks for posting the link to these photos. Thats really good of you.

You are right she did go to LA.

IF I can get any information from her, which I am doubtful that I will, it would help many, many women.

At the end of the day its the lack of available information that makes getting the end result one wants difficult.. If we knew who performed the surgery and which implants she used you could just about (albeit with varying results as each person s body is different) organise the approriate surgeon and implant, armed with the photo of Danielle, and get the right result - easy. Just like going to a car yard and ordering a new car!!

Would that be fantastic? I dont understand why this sort of information isnt available.

Thanks.

Hi Bone

Those scares are from the recent surgery. I had my 800cc gels through the nipple and when I had my redo to 1100cc saline HP's the surgeon went back through the same spot and the wounds looked exactly like Danielles.

Personally my breasts have not become any more or less sensitive after 2 ops. My PS advised that breast feeding is entirely possible even with implants and placement through the nipples.

Hi BC,

It does seem logical that a periareolar incision would create a high risk for causing loss of nipple sensation or loss of breastfeeding functionality, but apparently the truth is that such issues are way down there on the scale of risks.  I tend to believe that if a surgeon knew that there was a great probability for loss of sensation and loss of functionality with this approach, he would opt for one of the other approaches instead.  You know the old mantra, "First, do no harm."  So what suzy1qtee says about her own periareolar incision/augmentation does seem to ring a resonating note.

That said, if there is going to be any loss of sensation or tingling, it seems there are nerve branches which pass laterally along the ribs below the armpits which could be at issue.  The cause being the pressure of the implant sitting in a less than ideal location.  If you search back for recent posts from AspiringG, you'll note that she experienced this with her last surgery.  Fortunately she's on the mend, but still, an experience like that can be rather discouraging.

To suzy1qtee:  Best of luck with getting the info regarding Danielle's implants and surgeon.  If she doesn't object to it (assuming you luck out), please share here, as I'm trying to keep a reasonably current list of who does what and where (geographically), including contact info.  (And if I ever become inspired to spend $10/month, I'll set up a wiki to keep public-approved info public.)

MDF,
On your geographical list, do you know of any docs in the Atlanta, GA area who are willing to do large implants?

Sorry, not as yet.

If you end up finding one, I'll add it to the list.

MDF,
How large must they be willing to go before they are qualified for your list?

Hi Suzy, you're welcome! Just doing my humble part to help ladies in search of a bigger and better bust

Yeah, the lack of information is a mystery to me too. Maybe surgeons don't want to get profiled as 'stripper/pornstar boob surgeons'? It's up to us to get people realize that some of us just like our boobs that way: Big, Round and Full. And that there's nothing wrong with that.

I hope you'll get an informative reply from Danielle!

Questor, that's a good question.

I can't say I've quantitatively drawn a line in the sand, eg, 999cc max doesn't make the list, but 1000cc+ does make the list, as I can't say I've received information presented to me in this fashion.  It's largely a matter of surgeons which have been strongly recommended (eg, due to the fact that he worked on a particular adult entertainer) or otherwise made a good reputation for themselves in this regard.

Also, things like attitude matter.  So if a surgeon begrudgingly goes with a request for 900cc, I might make a note about him, but with a caveat.  Whereas a surgeon who will happily start a woman out with 800cc and consultations with him have indicated that he's quite willing to help her go bigger, then of course he gets on the list.  Someone like Dr Baeke (knowledgeable and experienced in the much larger sizes) would get a gold star.

I have Dr Foster on the list, but info acquired over the past year has given me reason to add a couple of caveats to this entry.  Sure, he has a reputation for going bigger (and on one page on his site, the path is spelled out quite clearly), but the info isn't all silver and gold.  (I'm sure someone else will jump in here with their own caveats.)

Does this help?

Perhaps it's time for me to re-post the list in the GF.  Mind you, the list should perhaps be started in a new thread and pinned to the top of this section...?

MDF,
I would definitely suggest that your list be posted here, rather than the general forum.  This is where we are discussing the "Real" possibilities and options out there.  I think your idea of making it a "sticky" post is a great one.
My wife's PS in ATL was grudgingly willing to take her from an A cup to a DD in her first surgery with 560cc Mentop HP's filled to 620 each.  Now that we are looking at a redo, I'll see how willing he is to do more.  I'll let you know if we find someone.
I look forward to seeing your list.

Questor -

Years ago, I knew of a girl online that had 550cc first and then had a redo with Silimed 1000cc o/f 1100cc....but she had 2 surgeons though so I can't remember which one did her bigger implants. The surgeons are Dr. Ronald Freeman in Macon, GA and Dr. Kurt Bivens of Atlanta, GA....but I think Dr. Bivens moved to FL. I have heard that Dr. Freeman works with large implants though. So you may want to check him out just to see.
~*~*All of my pictures are (c) Antoinette*~*~

~For my first surgery (on 12/29/05), I got Inameds, 800cc overfilled to 1000cc, saline, smooth, round, overs
~For my second surgery (on 11/21/06), I overfilled my implants even more, all the way up to 2020cc
