I thought I would help you guys out a little bit. On her blog today she basically wrote that after long consideration she has decided to switch from gravia to AV. Her debut AV will be released on Nov. 6th through SOD Create (producer) and she is also changing her name from Tanaka Hitomi to just "Hitomi". Don't shoot the messenger. I am just reporting what she said. She apparently gave it a lot of thought whether or not to truly make the switch. Yes, i agree with the reason why she switched her name. |

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the expression Shoot the messenger, but I am not blaming you for anything nor making a personal attack.
What I am disputing is her contention that this was not her plan all along - using very raunchy idol releases to either a) drive up demand for her AV debut and but her in a better bargaining position, or b) this was in her contract from the beginning, in order to increase demand for her debut disc. Perhaps a little from column A, a little from column B.
Of course, in the end, it's her word against my opinion and she obviously has the higher ground in this case - how would a total stranger know what she's thinking? But it just doesn't ring true to me, especially considering she stated that she would never do AV on her original blog (I think - her current blog only seems to date back 'til August). |

Boy, just when I think there isn't anything good to see on the threads, this one jumps back to the top.
The images in the archive here are amazing-especially the ones where she's just bursting out of those tops. They kind of remind me of an old image I found a decade ago, showing this Asian girl in the same predicament, with the caption 'I wish I'd stop growing.'
The images I've seen here, show her seemingly 'abundant' but not 'overly-abundant' as someone like Fuko. I tried to like Fuko, but she doesn't quite fit into the mindset that Rio Natsume and Yoko Matsugane beamed into my brain.
Btw, I don't know who kept it alive, but whoever keeps placing these girls in polka-dot bikinis...more power to you. Especially blue, polka-dot bikinis. Why is it blue seems to work surprisingly well with Asian women?

I have to say that I too am not surprised that she has made the jump to AV, what surprises me is that it took this long!
Look at other gravure models like Harumi Nemoto and Yoko Matsugane; I couldn't imagine them doing AV, but with Hitomi I actually don't mind it. Not that I wouldn't kill to see Harumi in a tasteful topless DVD!

It'll be out next month.
According to Japanese Wikipedia, she's changing her name to just "Hitomi" when she changes to AV, and the DVD will be released on 6th November.
I think this surprises no one. She signed with SOD back when she started doing gravure and they're hardly known as big purveyors of soft bikini idol style DVDs. They were probably aiming to do a similar kind of thing to Rin Aoki, another big bust Japanese girl who went from soft to risque to AV. The long drawn out tease really pushes the sales of their debut title when they make the switch. The fact that she is a SOD girl might disappoint a few of you as it means that it's highly unlikely ever to be released overseas in an uncensored version.
