"Credit for time served" is a term attached to virtually all American jail or prison sentences, so that any time the miscreant may have spent in jail awaiting trial will count against his sentence. Among criminal defense attorneys there has been a running joke about whether the hour or so we spend going thru searches and waiting for clients is tracked by the jail in case we ever need "credit for time served".
On September 6, 2003, almost ten years ago, DruulEmpire started the "M" thread, keeping track of those members who posted a thousand or more times. He has diligently kept that thread going, until now it has 80 pages.
In May, 2009, the forum was subjected to a rather nasty attack. When the admins were able to rebuild it, the software they used added a feature, a clock that tells each of us how much time we have been on the site. Moreover, the ten lost souls who had spent the longest time were tracked on the forum's statistics page. I cannot escape noticing that I am currently #2.
What brought me to add this bit of whimsy to our pages is that recently the dearly beloved mod and plumbing fixture known as gonZo became the fourth of our number to pass the 120 day mark.
Just think--Four of us have spent more time on this site than Lindsay Lohan has spent in jail! It staggers the imagination!
While my S.O. considers it to be a total waste of time, I think of it more as a wise use of time. After all, what else would I be doing? Feeding the cat? Cleaning the gutters? Bah, I'd probably fall down and be eaten by tigers.
So here we are. And one day soon our reporter on boobic matters in Las Vegas, solvegas, will hit the 120th day! I have not failed to notice that Friend gOOber is working his way up the Top Ten list as well!

For an Addventurer like myself it gets even more complicated. Adama recently added the statistic of how many months someone has been contributing to the Addventure. Though I registered at this Forum in March 2003 -- so I have my own tenth anniversary coming up -- I've been contributing down there since the summer of 2002, so in spite of many months off (usually due to personal computer trouble) I'm still well on my way to racking up 114 months. The Addventure, plus Chili Palmer's stories, were my literal "gateway" to this community right here.
I wish I had a better sense of ROOSTR, besides that one time out of the blue he offered to "pimp" our look.
gOOber may well bury us all, the South making good on its longstanding threat to rise again. Seems like only yesterday he was hundreds of posts behind me, now he's something like pi thousand posts ahead. I see a day when gOOber is #1, with Zook #2. Don't know if he'll put in more actual time, though, I think he judiciously gathers together lots of great pictures and then shares them in quick salvos.
Mr. X: you're doing fine.
What's wild about the M thread (since it got mentioned) is that it's starting to feel like a mosaic of numbers at long last settling into a satisfying pattern. I could use maybe twenty more posts from Keisha Evans (on general principle, of course, but also for the tally), and five more from Breasts, and that's about it. Will beshine ever post again? I successfully made an appeal to her ego (not a slam, everyone's got one) that her thread had achieved two million views and she stopped by to say Kewl. Was that her last?
Weird to think of this as a sentence. How many years of mediocre TV do we sentence ourselves to?
At least I've been here long enough to see salem come up with the simple but revolutionary idea of a thread about faces (and overall looks). It's as if we pointedly used up everything else.
The sentence can end in any number of ways for any number of reasons. Some contributors just up and quit one day in complete mystery. Sadistyk, who I still miss, knew he was giving up and wished everyone love. It can end for any of us. What I will always remember is -- believe it or not -- a relatively sane haven in cyberspace. It's fun to pretend we're the kind of doltish lout celebrated in the original Kimmel-Carolla "Man Show," but the fact is that something as simple as breasts has become the premise for a kind of universally accessible perpetual picnic which anyone can wander into and wander away from. Those who scurry past us sneering "Eww, fetish!" don't know shit. If on some distant day I ever start a site of my own, I will remember how this one worked -- and probably be a bit harsher running it.

I miss some of the people who spent / wasted time in this forum talking about one of God's greatest creations, TITS ! What ever happened to Sherber ? Or notty ? Shara  , a favorite dutch uberamazon who had a little curtain climbing, booger eating, carpet commando and hasn't posted a thing in ... years . Mammeister got himself banned but I'll say I miss his cruel, eviscerating remarks, especially for those who deserved it. Yea, he was / is an asshole but he was our asshole.  Anyways, I have about 110 days or close to 4 months in this little neck of the woods and so far the moderators haven't seen fit to ban me even though once in a while they have sent me remarkably gentle PMs telling me I'm a knucklehead and to straighten up and fly right  . |

I don't know my ranking, I just know that I have over a month* recorded. *Provided that month is exactly like the month in which this post is made: a February that's not on a leap year. ETA: on a side note, I'm 13 posts away from having made 1000 posts here, so that's significant too I suppose.  |
