Three things that Republicans seem to be good at:

* Gerrymandering
* Having scandal-filled presidential administrations
* Getting economic reform that helps rich people and hurts non-rich people

Speaking of elections, Virginia had some interesting results.

Dr. Ralph Northam (Democrat) won his gubernatorial race against Ed Gillespie (Republican) in a fairly-close race. Gillespie poured millions into attack ads which strayed from the truth quite a bit, but Northam still prevailed.

Democrat Justin Fairfax was elected lieutenant governor; he is the second African-American candidate to ever win the post, after L. Douglas Wilder. Wilder, who went on to become the nation’s first black governor, was the first African-American lieutenant governor of Virginia, from 1986 to 1990. Fairfax, 38, overcame Trumpist Jill Holtzman Vogel.

And Democrat Danica Roem, an experienced newspaper reporter, beat Trumpist Del. Bob Marshall, who sponsored a bill this year that would have restricted the bathrooms transgender people can use. This makes Roem the first openly transgender person elected and seated in a state legislature.

In the tri-state area, Bill deBlasio handily beat his main challenger, Republican Nicole Malliotakis, to retain his position as Mayor of the City of New York. With more than 95 percent of the election precincts reporting, the mayor collected about 66 percent of the vote compared to Malliotakis' 28 percent.

Across the river in New Jersey, Gov. Chris Christie's deputy, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, cemented the legacy of Bridgegate by losing the gubernatorial race to Democrat Phil Murphy. With 91 percent of precincts reporting, Murphy had 56 percent and Guadagno 43 percent. Gov. Christie who (much like his counterpart in the White House) has record-low approval ratings, had to leave office due to term limits.

“Eighteen months ago, I chose to run for governor on a belief that New Jersey’s best days are before us, that our future is unlimited, and that we have been failed by leadership which forgot what it meant to dream big. Tonight we declare the days of division are over. We will move forward together,” the governor-elect said. “This is exactly who we are, New Jersey. We have each other’s backs, to believe in each of us is to believe in all of us.”

Murphy’s campaign relentlessly tied Guadagno to the unpopular Christie and aired attack ads linking them both to the George Washington Bridge scandal. Three Christie aides and appointees were convicted of crimes tied to the 2013 scheme to cause traffic jams in Fort Lee as political payback against the mayor there, who did not endorse the governor.

Some right wing nazi extremist people that helped Trumpelstilsken into precidency are disappointed about the non radical republicans and they are disappointed about Trumpelstilsken itself. The problem is they want everything 1-2 magnitudes simpler, easier, harder, meaner, more uncivilized. They want it even more autocratic - a autocratic leader type - they would love the style of Erdogan, Putin, Kim Jong Un. Trump is too soft for them and most other republicans anyway. So they stayed at home. They lost faith in Trumpelstilsken.

While El Presidente was promoting his golf course to the Koreans, there's a lot more good news from Election Night.

Andrea Jenkins became America’s first openly transgender woman of color elected to public office on Tuesday, as Minneapolis voters elected her to the city council.

Voters in Helena, Montana, the state’s capital, elected progressive candidate Wilmot Collins as mayor last night, unseating incumbent Jim Smith, who had held the office since 2001. Collins and his wife Maddie came to the United States as refugees from Liberia in the 1990s, escaping that country’s brutal civil war.

Democrat Vi Lyles cruised to victory over Republican Kenny Smith to become Charlotte, North Carolina’s first African-American female mayor.

Democrat Ravinder Bhalla, a two-term city councilman in Hoboken, New Jersey, is headed to the mayor’s office after sitting mayor Dawn Zimmer announced she wouldn’t seek another term. Why is this a big deal? He's a Sikh.

In Manchester, New Hampshire, Democrat Joyce Craig beat longtime Republican Mayor Ted Gatsas, becoming the first female mayor in New Hampshire’s largest city.

Seattle elected its first openly lesbian mayor, Jenny Durkan.

Ashley Bennett wasn't the only one pissed at John Carman, a Republican member of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders (a county legislative body in New Jersey) when he made a sexist joke about January's Women's Marches. So she decided to run against him this year. She won.

Maine became the first state in the USA to expand Medicaid by ballot initiative, in a huge win for healthcare and a big black eye for Gov. Paul LePage, who had vetoed Medicaid expansion five times when the state legislature passed it. The initiative passed by a double-digit margin, with 59% voting for and 41% against.

Despite the GOPs best attempts at killing Obamacare, a record number of people signed up on the first day of enrollment this year.

Things are looking good for the Dems, and the GOP is very nervous.....

Just when you think the GOP couldn't sink any lower....

The Washington Post reported a very credible story, with real names and corroboration, that years ago Roy Moore (the notorious bible-thumping asshole who got kicked off the judge's bench on more than one occasion), the current GOP nominee for a vacant Senate seat in Alabama, got a little to close to girls who were much too young for him to be doing such things. I'm not going to get into the details, partly because half the words I'd use would get blocked out by the Forum software, but mostly because you can go to almost any newspaper site (USA Today, for example) and read about it yourself.

GOP senators are all "He should withdraw from the race, if the allegations are true."

Moore's supporters are all "It's FAKE NEWS! The Dems paid off the women! Clinton! E-Mails! Uranium!!!!"

One of Moore's "fans" even went so far as to say "Well, in the Bible, Mary was a teenager when she married Joseph, who was a much older man....so there's really nothing immoral here." Of course, it must be noted that nowhere in the Bible does it mention the ages of Jesus' parents..... and isn't the whole point of the story that Joseph hadn't been intimate with her? Virgin birth, amirite?

Moore actually sent out a fundraising flyer that used the accusation as a reason to donate to his campaign. He needs money to fight the LIES and FAKE NEWS!!!1! of the "Obama-Clinton machine".

Kevin Spacey and Louis CK are undoubtedly seeing their careers come to a screeching halt for less creepy allegations. But in Alabama, the general consensus on Moore and the accusations seems to be "Well, at least he's not a Democrat."

In a strange way I hope Moore wins the special election to be held on December 12. It would be so funny to watch the other GOP senators trying to hide from him in the halls of Congress.....

Once again, the truism remains valid: the people who shout the loudest about other people's "sins", are the biggest sinners of them all.

In a sane world, there's no way Roy Moore would be allowed to run for Senate. But then, look at his boss.

You dont want to go there, trust me. You really dont want to compare, trust me.

Kevin Spacey and Louis CK are undoubtedly seeing their careers come to a screeching halt for less creepy allegations.

Wasnt Spacey accused of taking advantage of an under age boy and Spacey tried to justify it by saying he was under the influence so he doesnt remember?

Regardless, this should not be about whats less creepy or more creepy. If ANYONE is doing these kinds of things, they should rot in jail no matter who they are. The fact that someone would call certain sexual allegations "less creepy" just to try to defend a political party is very disgusting.

If Roy Moore is found guilty, (which the accusations should be taken very seriously) his ass should go to jail. Point blank, period.

Right. And the statement "signed" by the outdated list of pastors was published by Moore's wife.
