None of the psychologist suggested that he has Dementia, but worried that he had mental illness. I wonder why they forgo the mental health aspect of his mind instead went with a non-psychologist to administer a test for dementia?

I have been a fitness trainer for over 20 years and there is no way that he is a healthy 239 pounder, they said he is 1 pound short of being obese. The doctor has lied to tell you that a pound is a factor of obesity, it isn't and if it were then all those football players would be obese. The guideline for obesity is being over 30% bodyfat. If he was short of being obese then why is he taking a blood thinner and a cholesterol medication? Is the doctor really convincing us that he likes to do it for fun?!?!?

And now, The Highly Anticipated 2017 Fake News Awards!

1. The New York Times’ Paul Krugman claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover.
(Dow hits record high)

2. ABC News' Brian Ross CHOKES and sends markets in a downward spiral with false report.
(Ross was demoted)

3. CNN FALSELY reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks.
(Got those dates wrong, and yes thats the whole point - the info was already public!)

4.
TIME FALSELY reported that President Trump removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office.
(This was one of the first fake news stories)

5. Washington Post FALSELY reported the President’s massive sold-out rally in Pensacola, Florida was empty. Dishonest reporter showed picture of empty arena HOURS before crowd started pouring in.
(Some leftist communist terrorist news outlet also did it with the New England Patriots visit, who responded via twitter)

6. CNN FALSELY edited a video to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding.
(CNN lost their damn minds, as always)

7. CNN FALSELY reported about Anthony Scaramucci’s meeting with a Russian, but retracted it due to a “significant breakdown in process.”
(Three CNN employees "resign" because of it)

8. Newsweek FALSELY reported that Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake President Trump’s hand.
(They shook hands)

9. CNN FALSELY reported that former FBI Director James Comey would dispute President Trump’s claim that he was told he is not under investigation.
(The claim and then the truth.)

10. The New York Times FALSELY claimed on the front page that the Trump administration had hidden a climate report.

11. And last, but not least: "RUSSIA COLLUSION!" Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION!

__________

If you want to continue to argue against number 11, go right ahead.
But if you do not concede, acknowledge and accept the first ten fake news stories were backfired attempts by the leftist media, then how the hell would you expect ANYONE to take ANYTHING you say against Trump seriously?

You know, all Dr. Jackson needed to do was phrase his statement like this:

"For a 71 year old who is a little overweight, he is in pretty good health. He is taking medications to keep certain minor matters under control, and we've advised some changes in diet and more exercise. But you know as well as I do how that will work out...(pause for chuckle in audience). The President also insisted on taking a mental health examination, so we administered the standard Montreal Congitive Test. We did not find any indications of mental impairment."

All that is true, and people should have accepted it.

But noooooo, he had to sound like another sycophant, and say El Presidente was in Perfect! health, and got a Perfect!! score on the test. Because El Presidente has to be the Best Most Perfect #1 at everything!!

I'm going to contradict myself in a minute, but that is how things are.

None of the psychologist suggested that he has Dementia, but worried that he had mental illness. I wonder why they forgo the mental health aspect of his mind instead went with a non-psychologist to administer a test for dementia?

It's called "telling the boss what he wants to hear". There was no reason for a non-psychologist to administer a cognitive test, other than his boss ordered him to do so. A test where the bar for "passing" was low enough for him to have something to brag about.

Being that it's called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, here's some quotes from a CBC article about it.

"Drawing a clock. Counting backward by sevens. Rattling off words that begin with "F" before a minute's up.

They may not sound like difficult tasks, but they're part of a cognitive exam that's getting a lot of attention because U.S. President Donald Trump aced it."

"They're not a routine part of check-ups, either for a president or a not-so-famous senior.

Trump's doctor says he didn't see any symptoms that would prompt the test but that the president, who has faced questions about his mental acuity, requested it."

"'The value of screening without a complaint has not been established,' cautioned Dr. David Knopman, a Mayo Clinic neurologist who chairs the Alzheimer's Association's medical and scientific advisory council. And people should understand that 'it's not considered definitive,' he said. 'It's ultimately only a first pass at cognition.'"

"'Cognitive concerns in middle-aged and elderly people need to be taken seriously. They can't be evaluated with a snap of a finger,' Knopman said.

Getting that message out is an upside to all the publicity about Trump's test.

The downside: By reading these examples, you might have cheated. 'If people practice it, guess what? It's invalid,' Knopman noted."

. . . . . . . .

You know, all Dr. Jackson needed to do was phrase his statement like this:

"For a 71 year old who is a little overweight, he is in pretty good health. He is taking medications to keep certain minor matters under control, and we've advised some changes in diet and more exercise. Dr. Ronny L. Jackson is the current Physician to the President. He's a Rear Admiral in the Navy, oversaw two of former President Obama's medical examinations, and was involved with at least one of George W. Bush's medical exams as well. For him to behave this way seems a mite out of character.

The New Yorker, Jan. 18. 2018: "Donald Trump’s Physical Exam and the Sorry State of the American Body Politic", by Alan Burdick

In 1978, James Groves, a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital, published a now classic paper in the New England Journal of Medicine titled “Taking Care of the Hateful Patient.” In it, Groves acknowledged a truth widely, if quietly, known among medical professionals—that some patients are true nightmares. Groves wasn’t referring to the common jerks and complainers. “The fact remains that a few patients kindle aversion, fear, despair or even downright malice in their doctors,” he wrote. He cited the example of an attorney with multiple sclerosis who harangued his doctors and threatened to sue the previous “bastard” who had tried to help him: “He was like Job, who raged, ‘Ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.’ ”

Groves divided these dreaded people into four categories. The “clingers” were “overt in their neediness,” requiring constant explanations, affection, and attention. Even absent any actual ailment, they demonstrated a “self-perception of bottomless need” and saw their physicians as “inexhaustible.” At least they showed gratitude, though, unlike the “manipulative help-rejectors” (a.k.a “crocks”), who constantly replaced one symptom with another and were never more self-satisfied than when the doctor’s diagnosis was wrong. The “self-destructive deniers,” meanwhile, ignored medical advice in a different way; they were the hepatitis patients who still drank heavily, the guys with heart disease who kept “forgetting” their physicians’ warnings not to shovel snow. And then there were the “entitled demanders,” who used “intimidation, devaluation and guilt-induction to place the doctor in the role of the inexhaustible supply depot.” They were like the clingers, but hostile. “The patient may try to control the physician by withholding payment or threatening litigation,” Groves wrote. “Such patients often exude a repulsive sense of innate deservedness as if they were far superior to the physician.”

It’s hard not to see a place in Groves’s schema, maybe more than one, for Donald Trump. As one New York-based psychiatrist, who preferred not to be named, told me recently, “He’s precisely the kind of person who comes for two sessions, doesn’t pay, and is never heard from again.” Of course, we don’t know how Trump interacts in private with the White House physician, Ronny L. Jackson, who, last Friday, administered the President’s first physical examination in office...But, if Trump treats Jackson at all like his other advisers, one can’t help feeling sorry for the man. Last Thursday, when asked about the physical, Trump said, “I think it’s going to go well.” He added, “It better go well; otherwise the stock market will not be happy.”...

If the question is whether he is fit to serve as President, the answer, it seems, is that he’s no less fit than he ever was. The real issue is that he’s barely serving as it is. Cocooned in his residence for hours a day, watching TV and tweeting and talking on the phone—what the White House calls “executive time”—Trump appears to have divorced himself from any real engagement with policy or governance. With every passing day, he seems to venture farther into the echo chamber of himself, enabled by the people around him. The President, more than any other individual in American government, embodies the national will; his body is the body politic, and Trump very obviously cares for neither.

We the people now find ourselves in the awkward role of doctor, trying to handle a patient who simultaneously needs, despises, and ignores us. Groves
wrote his 1978 paper in no small part to help relieve physicians of the anxiety, anger, self-doubt, shame, fear, and depression that their “hateful” clients can induce. What these patients want, he emphasized—“an undivorceable marriage with an inexhaustible caregiver”—cannot realistically be provided. That may be good advice for Jackson, who is free to pack his medical kit and go. For the rest of us, it’s till death, 2020, or the Twenty-fifth Amendment do us part.

I have no doubt that queen Hillary would have ever hold DACA children hostage by shutting down the govt. Whatever you want to call her, she is moot, but to bring her up would be foolish to think she would have had a hissy fit in not getting things her way.

DACA proves that Democrats / Liberals care more about foreigners who are not supposed to be in this country than native born and legal immigrants. Next time a Marxist/Leftist/Liberal claim that they care about this country,  the proof is in their actions, not their words. With regards to the President's sanity, I've read that high-ranking officers in the military must undergo a psychiatric evaluation of their fitness to command before they can get promoted. Might it not make sense for the Commander-in-Chief to undergo a similar evaluation?

Anyway, here's a quickie 'splainer on how the Trump Shutdown came about.

Remember, the GOP controls the House, the Senate, and the White House. So any proposals must start with them.

There are two big policy things here at stake - CHIP and DACA. Pretty much everyone agrees that funding health care for kiddies is good, especially since it saves the gov't money in the long term, and it's even cheaper than putting the kiddies onto an Obamacare plan. DACA, meanwhile, has good bipartisan support in principle.

So WTF happened?

Last fall, the GOP was so busy trying to kill Obamacare that they forgot to renew funding for CHIP. Afterwards, there were a couple of funding renewal bills floated, but the GOP decided to hold off on it, figuring they could use CHIP as a bargaining chip in future budget negotiations.

At about the same time, El Presidente ended the DACA program, even though he has continually stated that he is in favor of it. His idea was that he could use it as another bargaining chip with the Democrats, holding it out in exchange for his favorite things, including limits on legal immigration and his border wall.

Earlier this month, Trump said that if the Senate came up with a bipartisan bill that included DACA, funding for border security, and restrictions on legal immigration, he'd sign it.

Guess what? The Senate did! They came up with a proposal that included all of that!

But before Senators Durbin and Graham could present their 98% complete proposal to Trump for his "OK, go ahead and write it up for me to sign", advisor Stephen Miller and Chief of Staff John Kelly got ahold of Trump and reminded him just how EEEvil all these Haitians and El Salvadorans and Africans are.

So when the meeting finally took place, Durbin and Graham and others were stunned that Trump had suddenly done a 180. The deal was off. That was the "shithole" meeting, BTW. You probably forgot the real purpose of the meeting, didn't you....

And now, Mitch "Turtle" McConnell doesn't know what to do next, because like everyone else, he doesn't know what El Presidente wants. How do you come up with a bill for Trump to sign, when you haven't a clue whether he'll sign it or not?

Well, we all know what Trump really wants. He's been griping to staff that he had to cancel his big party down at Mar-a-Lago.....

Yep, the GOP OWNS this. You know, one would think a guy who "wrote" The Art of the Deal would have figured out a compromise here....

So you say in respect to DACA that unborn are criminals because their parents fled to the US? People with age of let's say 0-12 years that were forced by their parents to flee to the US are criminals? That these young people convicted a crime? And you are jealous of them?

Now I see where the discussion is complaetely going wrong in the US. A democracy gap with gap in understanding of fair democratic justice rules ...

Boahhhhhhhhhhhhh that's like the kin/clan liability the Germans ruled during 3rd reich.

It is like the representative from the German Nazi Party AfD who requested that boarder control should shoot down women and their children because crossing illegal the boarder is a crime and they convicting a crime with it.
