Well, mine is the name is the decepticon jet known as Starscream. For those of you who don't remember, Starscream was the one who kept trying to bump Megatron out as leader of the Decepticons. However, Starscream's body was destroyed by Galvatron. That's it.

The reason I went with Starscream was because I didn't have any idea on what to call myself. But I think being at a transformers message board before signing up here had something to do with it.

I'd like to say I picked my name because of my unpredictability in gaming and life in general, but really it was an old nick of cousin's and decided to steal it for myself....which is kinda unpredictable.

oooh, I love Tyrian. I even love the little secret games.

Mine is really simple actually. About a decade ago I chose phoenix, and my friend chose dragon. Being so common on the net, we both added 'first names' to our nicks.

Valor is one of the cyber dogs from Battle Angel Alita

I do a google search every once in a while on my nick and the only other instance is a kevlar vest manufacturer Valor with their Phoenix line.

I wish I had a story to go with my name. It could be the time me and my friends drove 26 hours with a concert in the middle. Or it could be what I felt like registering for here. The truth is I needed a name bad, and this is what I came up with. ^_^ I like it, staying up is always a great idea, always.

Okay, I just found this thread, but I'm gonna pretend that I'm not that slow on the uptake . . .
A friend of mine once said that I was a "boobophiliac." I'm sure that there must be an official term for the condition, but I just think that boobophiliac is funny.

Mort or Mortarion was a character that i made up ages ago and was originally going to be the evil guy for a project that i was working on. but the project collapsed but i kept the idea, me mate for a while kept calling him self the amazing spork so i became The incredible MorT for no real reason. and the avatar is just a drawing i did of Mortarion not too long ago, as im trying to fit him into another idea. im really not sure about the thumbs up award

Okay, i'm roped in to it .

I usually go under the name of dukezer0, a NPC i created in D&D who was an half-orc with......... sorry (regains equalibrium).

Schemer comes from a band i used to be in, which in turn was named because we were all schemers. Schemer meaning sitting down on someones chair when they got up to go to the toilet, nicking a sip of someones drink when they aren't looking etc (reminises on old boyish antics).

BTW, my moniker in schemer was Vince Bell because ......... lets just say i'm in touch with my feminie side .

Demilich is a Finnish Death Metal band and one of the most original sounding bands to ever exist, a group that truely tested deathmetal's perceived limitations...and not just musically.
lyrically they range from the moderately strange to the completely obscure. I took my name from my faovirte song by them
The sixteenth six-tooth son of fourteen-four regional dimensions (Still Unnamed)

lyrics changed slightly

I was born by Fourteen Four-regional Dimensions
Their milt and spawn gave my life of various alterations
I know there's no god or belial
My mission's to show the only way is denial (Denial...)
All christians and satanists I see must be crucified before they flee
I'm allowed to eat every soul
I avoid it, they are too foul (too foul!)
I know there's no god or belial
My mission's to show the only way is denial

Wow, so many people have interesting origins of their names. I, unfortunately, have a boring one.

I wanted to start posting here, but I'm terribly unimaginative and couldn't think of anything. I was trying to incorporate something that had to do with the theme of this website (Big breasts) with something... well, cool. First idea was the Bouncer. 'Cause boobs bounce, you know? And a bouncer at a bar? But I still didn't like it.
So I took the name of one of my favorite characters in comics, Bigby Wolf. This particular comic was Fables and he was called that because he IS the Big Bad Wolf (Big B. Wolf = Bigby Wolf). But I still didn't want to seem unimaginative to those who new about the comic, so I added to extra 'e.'
See? Very boring.

Highlander goes way back to the mid 90's when I decided for the first time to have long hair... A friend of mine looked at me and said I looked like the Highlander from the movies... after that, they've all started to call me Highlander... Then I moved to another city, and they also thought I looked like Christopher Lambert (the actor who plays the Highlander Connor MacLeod in the movies), even tho I'd cut my hair then. I then started using internet and thought that Highlander would be a nice Internet handle, even though A LOT of people use it... Because of that, sometimes I have to choose handles other then Highlander, but I always try it first, just to see if no one else's tryed it... and amazingly enough, no one else was using this handle here, so I took it!

Haknslash and I both talked about Reboot a little more in this thread recently..

Anyone wanna start a Photoshop contest?

Essentially, Yes! They were already good, but after they got rid of the ABC censors, the 3rd season was vastly improved in it's writing, IMHO. The CG technology also was improved during the gap between 2nd and 3rd season. A planned 4th season became two movies, which were then broken into 4 episodes played like a short season on Cartoon network once, never to be seen again.

BTW, here's Haknslash 's avatar full size..

I used to post as Talon of the Shadows. Everywhere you went, Talon of the Shadows. It was my dark persona coming from my Amber character and teenage angst years ago. When I finally got a shot to post here at the Archive, I decided to go with something simple and easy and to the point. So, IowaGuy was born. I'm a guy. I'm from Iowa. Easy. Those of you who read my comic know my real name, have seen my real face, and it really doesn't matter anyway, but, that's the story.

Lessee - It's Sunday night, and I just scanned down through nearly 200 posts to see if I had answered this thread. Like many before me, who have been here a while, I thought I had. That was actually the same question / different thread.

St. Stephen asked me to respond back on May 9th, which is just a few hours short of 9 months ago.

Ok - When I first joined the BEA back in its infancy - I went by the handle of DustyandMe. This due to my near obsession with Busty Dusty. She was my dream woman, at least as far those moments which can only be described as personal - so around a place like this, where fellow breast obsessives congregated, I became DustyandMe.

Abuse flowed regularly from sundry members, who when I told them the origin of my nickname, the near universal response was: "Yeah, right!" or "You Wish!".

Then when I started to do my video column, and a few months later, I met and actually interviewed Busty Dusty, a new moniker was in order. One that proclaimed my independence - because I was no longer going to be tied to Busty Dusty, at least namewise, and since I working by myself - JustMeMike was born.

Sorry for the lengthy delay, St. Stephen.

From New York, this is ...

Ah, the story behind me monkier. Well, the name was oringially created when I was doing a (alas, short-lived) role-play with my ex-girlfriend (not ex- at the time). My character was a travelling adventurer and scholar who liked to search for ruins and relics of the past. I imagined him as kinda tall and thin, with dark brown hair that went to his shoulders. With that in mind, I created a name that seemed to suit him. And so, Artican Velbades was born.

On a side note, during his brief (alas) career, he pulled a trick which I thought summed him up well. In trying to get information from a reluctant individual in a tavern, he bought drinks. However, before drinking his own, he used some medicine to counter-act the intoxicating effects. As a result, he got the info from the now-drunken man, and was sober enough to remember it. ^_^

A long time ago, I started chatting on IRC and needed a name for that. At the time, one of my favorite artists, Phil Foglio, was putting out an absolutely fantastic erotic comic book called XXXenophile. Well, my favorite issue had a picture of "Le Petit Morte" on it, and I thought that was cute and clever at the same time... Much like myself! So I became PetitMorte and have been ever since. I use the name chatting on IRC, posting on forums, and most importantly, fragging online.

Most folks that I meet in-game can get the Petit Morte = Little Death thing, but most never connect it to the slang, Little Death = Big Orgasm.
When they ask, I just tell them that I only kill short people.

Anyhoo, without further ado, here's the cover:

(Hey, I finally found the side of the forums where people talk about stuff other than boobs!...)

So, my assumed name... Well, I wanted something clever and amusing for a screen name, of course, but something I wasn't using elsewhere. My life as a porn hound and worshiper of the feminine body is something I keep to myself, so on the theme of secret lives and hidden obsessions, it occurred to me to poke fun at the fact I've been a very quiet and withdrawn person for much of my life. (Folks who met me only in the last couple of years find it hard to imagine me so distant and antisocial. Hooray for serotonin-blockers! ) Anyway, I wanted to be a hermit with a catchy but offbeat name, and thus "Mermet the Hermit" arose. (Unfortunately, HermanTheGerman was registered long before me, so my idea looks far less original.) There are authors and playwrights with the surname Mermet, but it is strictly coincidence - I picked Mermet because it rhymed with Hermit and sounds strange.

BTW, if anyone is still reading this, note that my avatar is cropped from a painting by the inimitable R. S. Connett, called "Stray Thoughts". Check out his brilliantly freakish and beautifully disturbing work at www.vomitus.com.

Hooray for the freaks. Without whom, we'd all be listening to Pat Boone and Lawrence Welk.
