...that other artists work is more arousing?
Maybe it's because I know the subject morph so well I lose the illusion after working with the art for so long. But others art seems to be so much hotter to me.
Maybe it's just me.

Maybe it's easier to suspend disbelief when your memory of transforming the image isn't in the way?

SO true. Partially because you spend so much time staring at the picture, partly because you know where each little change is and you can spot the differences easier. I feel the same when people morph pictures of me. It does nothing for me. You just know the subject matter so well that even the subtlest of differences is blatantly obvious to you.
RandomX(yes, I morph stuff.)

When I look at my own morphs --even months later-- I'm still searching for flaws I can fix. And finding some, usually.

Definitely not my case. Most girls that are morphed don't look pretty to me. I take a more holistic approach... Size most certainly isn't everything... Then there's this bee-stung lips aesthetic. Quite alien. Scarification is prettier, imho. I work on morphs alone, and then I get excited and then my interest in getting the pesky little details.. the 20% that takes up 80% of the time goes right out of the window. I should work on my self control, that's for sure...

Very interesting thread and various thoughts...for me, it can work both ways. I certainly can appreciate someone else's work for the technical ability or, at times, for the artistic merit. Being aroused doesn't happen all that often because I've got to really want the model, get into the pose, the attitude, the look on her face etc etc....those are all the reasons I decide to do a morph myself... I see a photo...and I'm drawn to it/her. And as said above 80/20...the morph usually arrives quickly, but all the work is in the detail. During that detail stage, the process becomes a 'technical exercise'...and desire is lost. But by the end, I am often fully 'engaged' with the morph as an experience...and that is one of the reasons I almost always insert a little remark...in other words: she has spoken to me.

because there is the moment of truth, or rather minutes of it when I do the final rendering and see the result for the absolute first time. When using complicated lights, the preview only gives a rough idea of the final result. A wonderful moment - but then I check for flaws (there are always some), and poof goes whatever tension may have built up. And ppw is basically photoshopping, which alienates the product still more. Ah, but the stuff other people (Ricky!) do...

I find my own morphs to be equally arousing. while creating the morph, i get more aroused as i see it moving closer to completion. And then once complete, i stare at it a good long while, burning the image into my mind. and then *cough* go to bed. sometimes it helps if i invent a brief short story attached to the image to give it a sense of context, character motivation, etc. I also love looking at other peoples' morphs though Instead of one image though, I look at many, because they're less work. then I usually pick a couple favorites, burn them into my brain, and *cough* go to bed.

I'm definitely a fan of other peoples stuff, particularly with personal subject matter. There's just an element of surprise involved when your own hand didn't do the work, and it's nice to have that same reaction that you get from others when you do requests.
That said, I definitely find the process itself pretty arousing, and sometimes I even surprise myself.

Yeah me too, some of my fav morphs are ones I have done. Not because i am great or anything, but because i usually select models I like and choose expansion sizes I prefer. If you notice I like breasts about Milena's size and body types Dors size on avaerage and most of my work is close to those sizes.
