Some of you may remember Imaginos, who was essentially the founding father of the BEA Forum... our first webmaster for all intents and purposes. He was a good guy: thoughful, invested and community-minded. As it often does, real life beckoned and after some years, he was unable to justify the time needed to continue to run this place, so he retired.

That was quite a while ago and since then the internet as a whole and the BEA itself have grown and changed dramatically, including our Forum. Though we no longer enjoy the nurturing presence of a webmaster, our small team of forum moderators pretty much take care of everything other than sysadmin tasks. We manage as best we can, but as you'd expect, it takes a lot of time and we (try to) maintain our own real lives too. ;)

When the opportunity has presented itself, we've been fortunate enough to get some help from forum users and we're grateful for it. Even relatively small tasks take time, and when you multiply a minute here or there by thousands of users, over a million posts and the best part of two decades, it all adds up. Thus, a helping hand from an interested and willing user will always be appreciated. We mods thought we ought to thank our group of helpful pals publicly... it's the least we can do, since just like us mods, they're not paid for their time ...we're *all* volunteers here, putting in effort towards the greater good for our shared community. :)

So, below is the list of the users who give generously of their time to help out with special projects and/or forum upkeep, along with those who've done so in the past. This list is limited only to those undertakings we mods have some involvement with... it does *not* include all those many, many great users who contribute morphs, art, stories, comics, IDs, lists, clips, pix, links, literate forum posts and other public resources ...we're deeply appreciative of each and every such thing of course, but to list all those who've given and continue to give to our community like that would require a week of typing and a few megabytes of text. ;) Thus, our list of users to whom we offer our sincere "thanks" here is limited to that small group of folks who're helping out with a few specific mod-organized undertakings. In alphabetical order, we'd like to thank:

adariman, who is the keeper of the BEA Princesses List: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?topic=3594.0

BE4me put together the Artist Logos Database: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,566289.msg566289.html#msg566289

CarlTL, who ran the original BEA Forum Morph Contests and still kindly helps out with the current/new contest, the Trophy Case for which can be seen here: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9992582.0.html

rtpoe helps out with the time-consuming job of finding and identifying content from the BEA galleries that must be removed due to site rules. In the summer of 2015, he also became one of our forum Watchmen: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9993284.msg10335629.html#msg10335629

salem assists us in keeping the forums neat and organized and thus easier for all to use by helping out with various forum tasks including the merging of redundant/dupe threads: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9992378.0.html In summer 2015, he also became one of our forum Watchmen: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9993284.msg10335629.html#msg10335629

sheber stood in for Imaginos after his departure, kindly acting as forum webmaster pro tem for a period of time... a challenging and time-consuming task.

Spector is the moving force behind the reboot of the monthly BEA Forum Morph Contest and he oversees each month's contest, the Trophy Case for which can be seen here: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9992582.0.html

Switcher is the other half of the team helps out with the time-consuming job of finding and indentifying content from the BEA galleries that must be removed due to site rules. In summer 2015, he also became one of our forum Watchmen: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9993284.msg10335629.html#msg10335629

With our very sincere appreciation,

Brief update: SwitcherX, rtpoe and salem have agreed to help gonZo, Prof. Morearty and myself with keeping the forum organized and safe, so they're now "Watchmen." Watchmen aren't moderators (so please continue to address your hate mail to mods as usual ;)) but they will be splitting/merging/moving threads as needed and if they run across a possible violation post, they'll move it offline temporarily for us to review. If there's no violation, the post will be returned to where it came from. The point is to remove violations from public view ASAP and thereby keep the forum's liability to a minimum.

Thanks. :)

Edited Jan '16 to fold this thread into the "New Revisions to the Forum Rules & other news PLEASE READ NEW POSTS!" thread so as to reduce slightly the number of pinned threads in the General Forum.

We're very happy to announce this change to the site Rules:

Unmorphed images owned by The Score Group (or any of their subsidiary sites/mags) CAN NOW BE POSTED at the BEA Forum with the following provisions:

1) The original Score/etc... logo on the image must be intact and present. So, if you have a Score pic w/o a logo, use GRIS (google reverse image search) to find another copy that hasn't had the logo cropped off and use that instead.

2) Each user is limited to posting/linking/attaching just one unmorphed Score/etc... item in a given thread per week. That is to say: if you attach/link to a Score pic in a thread about a specific model, you must wait until one full week has passed before posting another Score pic in that same thread.

Breaking these provisions will be considered to be serious violations of the Rules and appropriate consequences will be applied, so please don't abuse this new arrangement.

Please note: all the other/existing BEA Rules still apply, so no posting of excessive/bulk content such as links to entire pirated galleries or entire videos. In consideration of how long the BEA Forum has been online, and how it's operated during that time: with reason, restraint and respect for users and content creators alike (i.e.: the "1-1-1" rule, etc...) Elliot James of Score has generously agreed to this modification to our Rules. Thus, we ask everyone to abide by the letter and spirit of the Rules in general and these new provisions in particular, so we all can continue to enjoy the Forum for years to come. :)

PS: it'll take a couple days to update the text of the Rules page http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=rules but this change in policy is effective immediately.

Thanks! :)

Here are some additional rule changes that have been made along with the new Score rules. These changes are in effect now, but might not be displayed on the Forum Rules page for several days.

• The 5-images-per-day limit for "internal linking" to images that already exist on the BEA server has been removed. You may post as many internal links per day as you like.

• The prohibition of photos of "Noelle M" aka "Noelle Martin" has been removed. Please be careful, though, because there are under-18 photos of her on the web that are still prohibited by the age rules.

For a variety of reasons, we have to phase out our acceptance of logins made via TOR servers. Though only a tiny fraction of our users login like this, we're making this announcement to everyone now, so that no one will find themselves locked out w/o notice.

This will start happening in about a week, so if you've only exclusively ever accessed our forum via such a method, you should log in normally (not via TOR) within the next week so that you'll be able to continue to login after the TOR server(s) start getting filtered.

If you prefer, you can also just make a new user account without accessing via TOR and that should work fine after the transition too.

Thanks for your patience and understanding with this necessary bit of forum maintenance. :)

Per our announcement here a few months ago, three of our users have become forum Watchmen ...they're helping us keep the BEA Forums organized and searchable for the benefit of all users here now and into the future. :)

Should you wish to suggest that any particular thread be split into two, or merged with another, or moved to a different sub-forum, or renamed, etc... you can simply PM ANY WATCHMAN:

rtpoe: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=846

salem: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=91962

SwitcherX: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2326

Please remember that Watchmen are here to help, but they're not obligated to merge/move/etc... just because someone asks. They'll evaluate the request and if it makes sense, they'll generally do as asked. However, not all requests/suggestions will get acted on since some changes provide limited benefit (for other users and future searches) and things like moves/merges/etc... can also break internal links.

Don't forget to include exact link(s) to the post or thread you're talking about along with a concise explanation about why you're making the request so that they can consider and act on it if warranted.

Thanks! :)

Bumping this notice to remind all users that we now have three fellows who've kindly offered to help us out with keeping the forum organized for everyone's benefit.

So... when you run across a thread that you think should rightly be merged with another thread (because they're both about the same subject) or you think a thread got posted in the wrong sub-forum and should be moved to another, more appropriate sub-forum, or etc... PLEASE take a minute to write a PM (private message) to one of our three Watchmen:

rtpoe http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=846

salem http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=91962

SwitcherX http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=2326

to provide them with the links to the threads in question (and a brief explanation) so they can take care of it.

You don't even have to remember which users are Watchmen... just remember that their profile links (above) are in this notice thread, which itself is pinned near the top of the General Forum.

Thanks!

Mod edit Jan. '16 to fold this thread into the "Rule Changes & Other News PLEASE READ ALL NEW POSTS!" pinned thread just to reduce somewhat the number of pinned threads in the General Forum. -Pal

We've added a "General Discussion: Obsolete Threads" sub-board below the regular/main General Discussion forum here: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/board,28.0.html

This is going to be a repository for those very old GF threads that are just about moot now... if an ancient thread (over 10 years old):

Contains little or no relevant/useful information anymore (or never did in the first place)

Has no working attachments and most/all of its links (to sites or files) are broken/dead/expired

Doesn't rightly belong in one of the other sub-forums

...then it may eventually get moved into the General Discussion: Obsolete Threads sub-forum. Threads here can still be searched and viewed... they're not being deleted. They're simply being moved out of the GF because they no longer serve a purpose there anymore. Watchmen and moderators will NOT be moving any recent/active threads to the new sub-forum, since we don't want to break any internal links (from other posts)... just the really old stuff. GF threads that still might be useful and rightly belong in the GF will be left there, no matter their age.

Looking at these old threads full of broken links and missing images that used to go outside to Geocities, Tripod, or to Yahoo clubs that closed more than a decade ago is a "teaching moment" for why it's ALWAYS BETTER to ATTACH a file to your post by uploading it to the BEA Forum server (where it's bound to survive far longer than it would out in the world) and to PASTE a copy of externally-sourced text/info INTO the body of your post rather than just link to it outside, since external links are often so pitifully short-lived.

The BEA Forum is about 18 YEARS OLD now, and contains posts made more than 15 years ago. Among adult/online communities, the BEA is almost unique in this longevity, so PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that what you post today might get read by others 15 from now... SO PLEASE try to future-proof your posts as best you can by:

*Attach images and clips whenever possible instead of just linking to an outside source.
*Paste text sourced elsewhere into your post instead of just linking to an article or page outside.
*Include specific names (of models, publications, websites, movies, shows, products, etc...) in the body of your post text instead of just an URL to an external site... this way, your post will come up in searches AND users will have some good info to go on even if the URL dies.

PS: We've also appended the words "AKA Breasts in Movies" to the VCR Alerts forum title, since even with broken links, lots of good old BiM threads from BoobwatchOne and other users could still be useful to folks looking for viewing suggestions, and the VCR Alerts forum seems like the most appropriate place to keep/find such posts. :)

PPS: The words "Travel Advice" have been added to the name of the Meetings and Events sub-forum, since that's where such posts seem best suited.

Hello everyone,

The long-awaited upgrade of the forum to a newer, stable build of the forum software is currently scheduled to take place next Tuesday, December 29th. The forum will be offline on that day for at least a few hours... if the date changes, or we have more information to share about the planned upgrade, we'll be sure to pass it along in this thread.

In addition to updated forum software (which will undoubtedly bring a new look as well as many other changes) the BEA Forum Chat will be changed to a completely new program, which was selected based on feedback from our forum users some months back.

Mods and Watchmen will be attempting to kick the tires on a test version of the new software as best we can during this busy time of year, but if history is any guide, users might experience some issues following the upgrade. We'll set up a thread to solicit feedback/bug reports and forward all of that to the admins, so they can work out the kinks.

Thanks (in advance) to everyone for their patience during this entire process. :)

I mention this yet again because today I've seen no less than three posts this morning in which users appear to think that there's some rule against social media pix/references/links. THERE IS NO SUCH PROHIBITION!

Some years back, there was a rule against content from certain early/old social-media sites because at the time they were popular and such a large percentage of their content included underag3 subjects, so they were banned here. However, that ban was lifted a while back, and there has never been any rule against content/links/info from other, more contemporary/popular social media sites, SO YOU CAN POST FROM/ABOUT THEM. Of course, no matter what you post, it must adhere to the BEA Owner's rules, which is why we urge you to be careful when putting up links to pages on some social sites, since so many will likely have some underag3 content, and linking to that from here is a violation. If you attach a pic to your post instead of linking to the pic on an outside page, you completely avoid the risk of that kind of 'collateral' violation, which is why we always encourage folks to do that and ATTACH instead of linking.

SO, for the LOVE of PETE, will everyone who's wrongly believing that there's some rule against social media-sourced stuff here PLEASE correct their misconceptions instead of obeying a rule that doesn't exist and (even worse) spreading their misconception to other users by referring to that non-existent ban? Please?

YOU CAN post from VK, and Faceborg, and Tw1tter, and IG, etc... Though there's no ban against that stuff, the forum's autocensor may step on some of the WORDS ...that's just the BEA being discreet and does not imply a rule against Faceborg just because the actual/original version of the word Faceborg gets censored.

Thank you. :)

PS: you're all aware that the forum will be shut down for an upgrade at the end of the month, right? The announcement is here: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9993643.0.html (please ALWAYS READ ALL NEW REPLIES TO PINNED GENERAL FORUM THREADS since they contain important news like this stuff). GonZo has set up a Tw1tter feed here: http://www.twitter.com/@plzbearwithus so we'll be able to keep everyone up to date just in case the forum stays down longer than expected.

Thanks!

Clearly, some users are having trouble re-activating their original/existing user(name) accounts, since we've seen more than a few long-time members "starting over" with new usernames. We know that if you've lost access to the old email addy you used when you first registered years ago it can complicate matters, and that the process itself doesn't always go smoothly, but we assume most folks would prefer to continue to use their "regular" usernames.

So, this is a repost of the re-activation steps that gonZo's kindly posted elsewhere:

Click Login in the menu at the top of the Main Index page.
Click Forgot Password in the Login window.
Enter your old login-name in the Forgot Password window and click Get Password.
You should receive a verification email containing a link you have to click. If you don't receive it...
Return to the Main Index page and click Login again.
Click Submit A Ticket Here in the Login window.
Submit a support request, explaining that you're unable to reactivate your user account.
It may take a few days, but they'll fix it.

We (mods) don't have the admin access necessary to actually do the reactivation thing ourselves, but we do want to help users who're seeking to re-activate their original username accounts, so if you follow the above steps and are still unable to use your original username, please let us know the details via PM and we'll do what we can to get you additional assistance from the admins.

Thanks everyone for your patience. :)

Tiny notice:

The forum that used to be called "VCR Alerts" has been renamed to "Breasts in Movies, TV Shows & Videogames" and we'll kindly ask users to put posts in those categories in that forum, including those nostalgic VCR Alerts of course.

We also changed the name of the Off-Topic forum a smidge, but nothing changes re: content/posts there.

Thanks!

PS: new BEA Chat room coming soon, based on Ajax Blueimp chat which is way better than Shoutbox or our old chat. :)

We've added a new sub-forum called "Anime, Hentai and Manga" which should be self-explanatory. Please use this area for all relevant new posts, and we'll be moving existing threads on these topics into this area over time: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?board=30.0

We've also moved a lot of Sightings posts into the previously-announced Sightings board. If you think there hasn't been enough Sightings posts here, go check out the Sightings board and see what you probably missed while it was mixed in with all the General Forum stuff: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?board=26.0

Thanks. :)

Edited Feb 28, 2016: we've also decided it's about time to divide the former VCR Alerts forum into three separate sub-forums... there will be one for Breasts in Movies & TV (shows); one for Breasts in TV Commercials & Advertising (of any kind: print/online/billboards/etc...) and another for Breasts in Videogames & Virtual Environments (like Second Life, etc...).

Please have a look and participate in these new sub-forums... we'll be moving existing VCR Alerts posts into the new areas as time allows. Thanks! :)
