There certainly was. The initiative passed by a large margin--considerably larger than gay marriage--and all across the state. Like most states, we have urban-liberal and rural-conservative areas, but this initiative passed in most counties regardless of other politics. Prosecutors in the two most populous counties have already dropped all small-quantity possession cases.Strangely enough, civilization has not collapsed; but "Tea Party" has a whole new meaning.
