Hiya all. I'm new on this forum after I was recommended to register here . A little about me: I'm a big ebony girl (or a curvy chocolate treat, as my fiancé calls me, LOL), 5'3, 200 lbs (coming from 230 mind you), 45-36-45 (love to be: 50-29-47?), and I wear a 34J UK bra size (34M US).I'm on a weight loss journey and I'm aiming for around 160-170 lbs (to save some fat for buttock augmentation with my own fat!) BEFORE my breast augmentation. Anyway, more importantly, I WANT huge boobs. I'm not happy with my boobs at all. Yes they're big (frankly, I think they're small), but not big enough and they surely don't look big on my rather large frame. At 230 lbs I was a 34L/LL UK size, and I loved it. I'm losing weight and therefore losing my boobs as well. I have considered NOT losing weight because I was so attached to my big boobs. You only live once and therefore I'm getting myself breast implants. I contacted Mr Shoaib (sp?) in Scotland and he will get back to me this month to schedule a consult in July (yes, July, so I got time to lose some more weight). At first he asked if I wanted the Becker implants, but I refused to have those. We kind of agreed to use custom made silicone implants made by polytech in Germany. He said he could give me at least 1000 cc, but he needs examine me to tell me the exact amount. Ultimately I want to have around 2000-2500cc silicone implants, over the muscle. I love Claudia Marie's and Vixen LaMoore's look. Sorry for the long story I will stop now lol. xx

Thank you all . Hopefully I can have surgery in september/october this year...as custom made implants take 3 months to arrive from the date of order.

Good call on Dr Shoaib. I've exchanged many emails with him, and he has always been very helpful and pleasant.
Also a good call on needing/wanting weight loss. My wife cherri has "been there, done that" so to speak. She's 5'4" and at her biggest was (going from memory) 235 lbs or so at the time of her LAP-band surgery. The weight loss will go a long way towards preserving the health of your knees. cherri just had knee surgery a couple months ago, and while she did used to play a lot of sports when she was younger, she ended up getting a meniscectomy (torn meniscus) and chondroplasty (cleaning up the "shag carpet" of cartilage strands). But the excess weight wasn't helping.
I'm curious why you are reluctant to get the Becker double lumens. There was another woman who participated briefly on the BEA who managed to get to an aggregate volume (saline + silicone) of 1750cc, and the Beckers helped to facilitate a gradual increase.
Conversely, if you go for 1000cc implants with your first surgery (which is precisely what cherri did, although hers were 800cc rated saline mod profile implants overfilled to 1000cc), it could well be fairly notably uncomfy post-op for the first 4-7 days (and I'm understating it here). If you started off with a more modest initial volume (eg, 700-800cc) and pumped them up gradually over the ensuing months, then enjoy them for some months/years until you're ready to switch to a permanent, larger (1500cc?) silicone implant.
I would also suggest that you might not want to necessarily delay having your first consult with Dr Shoaib quite so far off. Meaning, I suspect you'll be anxiously chomping at the bit between now and then on the one hand. And during at least one of cherri's consults, she was told that (unlike when planning for a tummy tuck) weight loss will not adversely impact the outcome of the augmentation.
Let me restate this. You could move up the first consult and get a pretty clear idea on goals and such, then see what weight you lose over the (let's say) next 6 months, then plan for a pre-op consult to go over the previous discussion as well as finesse any decisions/thoughts.
Sorry if my thoughts are a bit muddled. Fighting a headache at the moment.
Hm, a bit more info: cherri was an F/FF-cup at her largest, was a 38D/DD pre-op, ended up a 36H (with some slight variance of course). You can read more and see pics in her surgery thread (linked in my signature).

Hi Dragonfly, I just checked the surgery thread of your wife. I think she looks great (: I didn't want to use the Beckers, because they are only meant to be o/f to around 1200 (or 1400?) max. And that they start to look weird if they are overfilled any more. And even though they have a silicone outer shell, they will be rather firm at that point. I'm driving myself bonkers, I don't know if I should go for expanders (which ones?) or XL silicone implants and then have another surgery to go bigger. Expanders will be great to gradually increase my size, you're right, but I don't know if there are any expanders rated for 2000-2500cc available. Also, expanders are only 'safe' for 6 months, after that the risk of rupture is worrying... I followed your advice and I am going to schedule a consult in May, I contacted Dr Shoaib and they will get back to me soon. I think after my weight loss I will end up a 34FF and as it's approx 200 ccs per cupsize for me (Dr Singh told me so, because of my broad shoulders + frame) I hope, ultimately I can end up a 34L or so...with 2000cc. I will let you know how I get on.

And even though they have a silicone outer shell, they will be rather firm at that point. That was my impression as well. Hence my pleasant surprise when I heard of someone very happy with the 1750cc aggregate size. I had expected distortion, at the very least, but she assured me that not only was that not an issue, but the silicone had made them reasonably softer than straight overfilled implants would be at that volume. Some background info for you: - post-operatively adjustable implants are not the same as expanders; consider post-op adjustables, where possible - at one time, expanders were identical to regular implants, merely marketed differently; then implant manufacturers figured out that patients weren't buying another set (ie, the 'final' implant), so they were losing revenue; as a result, they stopped doing the requisite QA needed for the perceived longer life, or to put this another way, they would only QA and warranty them for 6 months - many folks perceive this to mean that after 6 months the implants will automatically fail - finding larger expanders is difficult but not impossible; I've got some notes somewhere, but I need to dash soon; remind me and I'll go look when I have more time At any rate, I do believe Beckers is one example of a post-operatively adjustable implant; they just have the added benefit of having the double lumen shell. (The Beckers seem to be readily available in many countries, except the USA; for whatever reason, you need to get the blessing in the form of a ton of paperwork in order to get them here.) I followed your advice and I am going to schedule a consult in May, I contacted Dr Shoaib and they will get back to me soon. Excellent! This is all about being informed. You may end up adjusting your plans after you speak with him. Definitely describe your goals, both short-term and long-term, and of course mention your ongoing weight loss efforts. I think after my weight loss I will end up a 34FF and as it's approx 200 ccs per cupsize for me (Dr Singh told me so, because of my broad shoulders + frame) I hope, ultimately I can end up a 34L or so...with 2000cc. Sounds about right: http://www.largerimplants.info/joom/en/reference/62-newbie/120-sizing-part-two.htmlOh hang on, you went to see Dr Singh already? I take it you've decided not to have your surgery with him?

Definitely describe your goals, both short-term and long-term, and of course mention your ongoing weight loss efforts. I really hope I can safely lose some weight, without affecting my results. Hopefully he can tell me what to do best. Yes I saw Dr Singh and he told me he could most likely give me 1500cc (the largest silicone implant available). However, 1500cc is the biggest he goes, so if I ever want to go bigger, he wouldn't do it. Actually, he refuses to do so. Then I read about Mr Shoaib, about the fact he does expanders, and I read his 'Super size me!' post on his website, and I decided I wanted to go with him. I have also contacted Polytech (in Germany) and asked them about custom made 2000cc silicone implants and they said it's possible. I emailed them again today, asking about 2500cc. Hopefully that's possible as well. If it is, I don't mind having 'firm' expanders / adjustables until I get to 2000-2500 so I can swap them for permanent silicones.

Do you reckon 2000cc rated saline expanders will be softer than the Beckers at the same amount of cc (for example 2000)? I assume they would be as they would not be overfilled? Well certainly the straight saline will end up being... like saline. Silicone tends to have the eerie characteristic of mimicking the behaviour of soft fleshy tissue. I recommend you give this thread a read: http://forum.bearchive.com/index.php/topic,9979818.0.htmlOh this is interesting...hmm...the only adjustable implants I know of are the Beckers. The Beckers are the only double lumens I know of. But there are other post-op adjustables; I'm unclear on why we don't hear more about them. (Might be worth asking Dr Shoaib, except that to the best of my recollection, I think he only deals with silicone implants. I really hope I can safely lose some weight, without affecting my results. Hopefully he can tell me what to do best. I haven't asked him (I don't think), but I expect that he'll be able to draw from his experience in order to answer your question. Yes I saw Dr Singh and he told me he could most likely give me 1500cc (the largest silicone implant available). However, 1500cc is the biggest he goes, so if I ever want to go bigger, he wouldn't do it. Actually, he refuses to do so. To the best of my understanding, 1500cc is the largest (semi?) available silicone implant, at least in Europe. Going larger seems to require going the 'custom' route (and deep pockets). Then I read about Mr Shoaib, about the fact he does expanders, and I read his 'Super size me!' post on his website, and I decided I wanted to go with him.
You know, I don't think I knew that he did expanders. Nice. I have also contacted Polytech (in Germany) and asked them about custom made 2000cc silicone implants and they said it's possible. You might need to ask your surgeon to make the request, to get a better response. Professional contacts, and all that. I do like your plan of action, though.

My BWD is 17-18 I think, so the diameter sounds about right. I might opt for these, fill them to 1300 and then swap for a 2000cc silicone implant. He might have to enlarge my pocket for the sils, but I don't know. That is my idea for now and after my consultation I will know for sure.

Okay. I emailed Rachelle his office manager, and hopefully get a response soon. May I ask if your wife gets in unpleasant situations because of her 1000cc? I read Antoinette's thread and it was a bit worrying. However I get attention, already. My best friend said I will be fine as my face says 'don't 'fork' with me, I will 'fork' you back harder', lol, according to her. And I'm pretty good at self defence, I have been practicing Martial Arts for 14 years now and have a few black belts. It still is something to keep in mind though, when going huge, I think.

May I ask if your wife gets in unpleasant situations because of her 1000cc? I just now asked her. She says that she gets creepy people looking at her boobs, but she's never felt in any danger. My best friend said I will be fine as my face says 'don't 'fork' with me, I will 'fork' you back harder', lol, according to her. She said that having confidence and attitude will help. And I'm pretty good at self defence, I have been practicing Martial Arts for 14 years now and have a few black belts. It still is something to keep in mind though, when going huge, I think.
Which styles did you get your black belts in? Just curious. We've got about 6 years or so of Aikido under our (collective) belt. She's described the following concerns with her boobs: - can't be properly pinned to the mat - boobs get in the way when doing a bokken uchi (has to flare her elbows out in order to pass around them, rather than ending up on top of them) - one boob will interfere with the rear arm during a jo tsukiShe's managed to adapt. Other than that, she can do a decent job of roasting senior students (the ones who can take the throws). That said, she's 'only' at 1000cc, she's 'only' an H-cup. Depending on what moves you do in your styles, you gotta figure on some degree of additional rotational torque when going with larger implants. It may not be an issue, as I'm sure you're familiar with working from your hips/center. It's really only going to be an issue if your arms have to cross in close quarters. Again, I suspect if you spend time studying the technique post-op (and perhaps pre-op) you'll figure out a way to adapt. Heck, you might end up with an unusual variation specific to your new physique. In general (and I can think of at least one BEA member who can chime in here), it pays to always be aware of your surroundings and avoid possibly risky situations. Folks might lose some of their good manners when they happen to spot you in public.

A little about me: I'm a big ebony girl (or a curvy chocolate treat, as my fiancé calls me, LOL), 5'3, 200 lbs (coming from 230 mind you), 45-36-45 (love to be: 50-29-47?), and I wear a 34J UK bra size (34M US).I'm on a weight loss journey and I'm aiming for around 160-170 lbs (to save some fat for buttock augmentation with my own fat!) Anyway, more importantly, I WANT huge boobs. I'm not happy with my boobs at all. I like your fiancé's attitude Welcome to the BEA, and best of luck on your consultations!

Sooooo, I cancelled my consultation with the surgeon in Germany and decided to go with Dr Shoaib.
We have made a plan, to achieve my goal (3000cc range) the most safest, fastest and cost effective way, as I don't want to deal with expanders or overfilled saline, only silicone :-):
First BA (This summer): 800cc Second BA (next year): 1600cc + full anchor lift Third BA (year or 1.5 years after): 3200-3500cc
I could go bigger for my first, but he doesn't recommend it, and starting off with the biggest off the shelf is less expensive, and safer than going with around 1300cc. He also said that I go that big for my first, I cannot double up the year after due to too much trauma to my skin and tissue.
800cc will hardly make a difference on me, 3 sizes max. But at least the pocket can be made, and it is a size increase anyway.
I'm happy with this and I will keep you all updated. xx

Congrats on the plan! Although I suppose I'm puzzling over getting the lift with your second surgery, and not your first. Meaning, if a lift were indicated, I would think that it would be more likely to be needed with the original surgery, and less so thereafter (short of gravity taking its toll, that is, but that tends to be over the course of years). I've certainly heard of women who have been told by surgeons they would need a lift, but then find that one surgeon willing to go bigger, and as such, a lift wasn't needed. (This of course is dependent not just on loose skin but also nipple position, so I wouldn't draw any general conclusions regarding a guaranteed way to avoid getting a lift.)
That said, anything can change between surgery #1 and surgery #2, so who knows whether a lift will still be needed. *shrug*
I like that he's keeping in mind the trauma/recovery and thus planning accordingly. Way cool.

He said that I should have the lift on my first (my nipples are lower), but I want to focus on getting some volume back first as I'm also deflated. And he was OK with having the lift on my second surgery then. My breast diameter is 23, and the 800cc implants will not be that close to my diameter (although he said because of my tissue it won't be that much of an issue), I want to have the lift when I can choose the right dimensions for me to assure a better result. As he would implant and lift 'around' the new bigger implant.
