JPG to PDF
« on: May 06, 2017, 11:29:10 PM »
Here's what I'm wanting to do.

Take a series of JPG images (same size and resolution), and convert them into a single, multi-page PDF document.

PDFCreator can do it, but it's really clunky. I basically have to add the images one at a time, if I want to keep them in the correct order. Is there something that will do the conversion and assembly in one go?

Microsoft Word, at least the version I'm running, has a Save As PDF option.  Does yours?

Google Docs also has a "Save to PDF" function. So I suppose your best bet is to open a new Google Docs document, paste in the images in the correct order, and then choose "Save as PDF" from the "File" menu.

Yeah, those will work.

But when you're putting 30 or so images together, there might be an easier way.

Let's say I've got a folder with the following image files in it:

page-01.jpg
page-02.jpg
page-03.jpg
.
.
.
.
.
page-32.jpg

Is there a PDF creator out there that will let me dump all the images into it and create a PDF with the pages in the right order?

you trust them?

 http://jpg2pdf.com/ (limited ot 20 pics)

You own Linux:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/246647/jpeg-files-to-pdf
http://xmodulo.com/convert-jpg-image-file-to-pdf-format-on-linux.html

And I think in the past there was even an executable called jpeg2pdf similar to text2pdf or other programs that transformed formats.
