Yes, the gum was 99% sugar ( or so it seemed ) and after a few chews it would be very hard and small. No comic ?    Actually, I haven't seen a Bazooka Joe gum in a long time.

It's a while since it last happened, but my kids keep getting in trouble for defending their classmates. Thing is, they don't back down even if the bully is 4-5 years older. I regularly had to come to school because of that reason and then had to shush the principal while I let my kid explain what actually happened.
