I was unable to login for days, getting "Authentication Problem, please contact website adminstrator". So l did, and after getting two emails saying they'd gotten my email and were looking into the problem, I got another email today.
It said:
"Customer Support (BotComics)
Mar 12, 2021, 8:00 MST
l'm sorry,
We couldn't find any accounts matching that username or e mail address in our system
Please check if you've signed up with a different information and contact us back.
Best regards!"
WTF???? :o :o :o
I've been a member here for over 18 years! I've been using the exact same username and email addy through all that time!
I friggin' had a site on the main BEA for years! These guys are morons! >:( >:( >:(

This is a phenomena I'm seeing throughout so many enterprises nowadays. My observation is that service standards have declined a lot than what it was when I was younger. I remember 30-40 years ago I used to go to Sears to get many of my automotive needs done but then around the turn of the century Sears was in full shit mode and I stopped going there. Now the company seems it won't survive this year. Since December of 2015 when the forum was " enhanced ", there have been more crashes and troubles and the crew seems to take its sweet time doing anything about it. Such a shame. :'(

I had that “authentication problem” back then, too. For days I couldn’t get in. Then, I could get in, intermittently, and then it cleared up.
Today is the first time I’ve been able to log in for nearly two days. I suspect I will get the “authentication problem” again, on and off. No one reads this thread from their customer service, and no one answers the emails.

Ironically, however, the crew works at double-speed if some easily-hurt person is offended by one of your posts. Then the cancel-culture machine is revved-up and roaring. ;)

For the last three days I've been having trouble login in and I finally was able to do so now. I did send email to the webmaster as it instructed but it was frustrating. I hope it continues to work. :P

I have been getting the same message, "Authentication Problem, please contact website adminstrator" on/off for the past week or so. I contacted them through the customer service portal. Was told this is because there are multiple users on my account and was threatened that they are going to permanently ban me if it doesn't stop. I have been a member on this website for 18 years now and have never given my credentials to someone else. Still working with them if they are willing to see if my account was hacked or what caused this.

Yesterday I couldn't get into the forum again but today it worked. It is annoying to say the least. :P :(

I've been lucky enough to have had absolutely no access problems once I got back on from the last access difficulty. I don't know why it's re-occuring for some of us. :P

I wonder if we are in a double secret shit list .... ??? :o ::) ;) ;D

Well, Cris has been having the authentication problem a LOT. Currently, he can’t get on and hasn’t been able to since Thursday or Friday. I’ve been seeing the problem, too, but no where near as much.
When you guys tell the website administrator, how do you do that?

After a two day inability to login to the forum, I've finally been able to do so. Been getting that authentication problem a lot. It's been a struggle and I have no confidence that I'll be able to log back on after I depart later on today. :(

I got it this morning, was unable to login. But when I tried just now, it showed me already logged in, let me in right away. I dunno what the hell is going on. :P

This morning again my NEW login did not work so I had to change it again. It worked but for how long will the new password work ? ??? :(

I wasn't able to login the last couple of days, authentication error. Today the login link at the top of the forum sent me directly to the page where you're already logged in, and just have to select which area of the BEA you're going to. For me, it appears if I'm sent to the actual login with password entry page, I'm doomed. But randomly it'll decide I've already logged in, then I've got no problem. :P :( >:(

I submitted a request through the BotComics form regarding the invalid-IP errors I've been documenting. That was on April 6. No response. I sent a follow-up on May 2. No response. It's now May 18. I'm questioning whether there's anybody with any admin authority monitoring things at all?

Can someone check and see if the BotComics customer service portal is online for them? I submitted an update to my ticket (with a screenshot showing that despite them marking the Chat issue "solved", the errors were continuing apace) and got a page saying the customer service portal no longer exists.
Screenshot attached.

Still true, three months later.
