1st: since I think, the "Heidi Lange" thread shouldn't be spoilt with technical disputes, I put my reply here.

Scenario 1: from my webbrowser I invoke the BEA-"thread" page (https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?).
I can just read the posts, don't see any attached pictures, in one word I'm condemned to lurkerism.
Having undergone the "login procedure" I overcome these restrictions. I get a different window with additional menu options, especially the "Search", "My Messages", "Members" and the "Chat" options.
If, however, I invoke the "Home" menu, I'll get a view on the first "Home"-page for about 10 to 15 seconds and be requested to "register" by the said "Signup Form" then.
Scenario 2: same as Scenario 1, however I directly invoke the "Home" menu. I'm requested to either log-in or register. If I log in (with the same Nick and PWD as before), I'll get again a glimpse on the first "Home" page for about 10 to 15 seconds and are requested to "signup" then.
So IMHO there must be different memberships!

Finally I remember your reply elsewhere (https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?topic=10007412.msg10699817#msg10699817), which brings me to the question whether you can access the "Home" page.

If so, I'd suspect 3 different memberships:
1) free memberships for highly reputated and merited members giving full BEA access.
2) charged memberships allowing forum access only
and
3) charged memberships giving full BEA access

Ah, forgot: all the steps above are frequently retarded by one or another "Security Check", said to be an anti-bot measure!

On my links bar, I have my BEA link (https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?board=1.0) which takes me right to the forum. If I am not logged on, I cannot see pictures or other information like threads I had recently viewed or any PMs naturally. After logging in, I simple hit the link again. I doubt I have been to the BEA main page in the past few years simply because I have no interest there and where viewing requires a monthly membership fee, the same type of stories and morphs are free on DA, but since size is not limited there, there is so much more.

I understand it; I was here when the BEA was created back in the 90s. I remember the talk of the cost of buying a server for like $7-8k at the time in order to meet the demand; there was a lot of conversation regarding the proposed cost of membership. But that was almost 30 years ago when the internet was hardly even commercialized and today we have massive warehouses filled with servers and space is cheap, which I suppose led to the BEA switching from an England location to a central time zone location, which for some reason, I suspected to be either LA or TX. Forums are generally free, just like all social media, so the BEA is running on an antiquated business model which has continued to discourage new members. I was just thinking earlier this morning, how Solvegas would bump up the Beshine thread, saying he had found it on page 9 or something, though it had only been maybe 4 days since someone posted; this is how busy the forum was just a half dozen years ago, which was already down from a half dozen years prior, where a post on Beshine's thread could be a few pages back in just a day. The reason I thought of it was the last time I posted on it was 5 days ago and that date would have placed it at the top of page #3. When the BEA started, from one night to the next, on a popular thread, my last post could be on page #3 of that thread; today, the current page on Beshine's thread dates back to May 10th, 12 days ago.

If the BEA is to survive, they need to update the business model to increase memberships.

And yes, that I was somehow upset, when he quoted posts clearly identified to be "under construction" (https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?topic=10007412.msg10696541#msg10696541), is out of any question.
But hey, we are human beings. And whoever is free from sin to cast the first stone?

I'd wish, one of the highly reputated BEA members (which enjoy all the newly introduced Bot checks for free where the f(n)ew members have to pay for ;) ) would post something like an obituary elsewhere (https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?topic=10009992.0).

It looks much difficulter than it is: you just look at a specific member and show the posts' list. Go back to the page with the highest number and there you are.

But perhaps you, the "King of the Avatars" could help with another issue: for my "hall of fame" project, I'd like to have my avatar put into the frame below. If possible animated and everything outside the frame "transparent", i.e. in the background colour. At the very least you will need to make the white background of the picture frame transparent and overlay it over every frame of your avatar's animation.
