I have *NO* idea who she is (sadly) but I felt compelled to post the attached image of a vivacious vintage brunette because she illustrates that 'surprise' factor so well. On the left, in her corset, she looks merely adequately endowed whereas on the right, wearing only her birthday suit, she's proudly sporting a pair of soft melons capable of smothering anyone lucky enough to get his face in their vicinity. Yes, there are some photographic/pose things going on to emphasize the difference, but even so: a really pleasing clothed/unclothed outcome.
This happens in RL too of course, and sometimes w/even more of an impact: you're dating a gal whom you've only ever seen in street clothes... discreet glances tell you that she's got a decent figure, but nothing shocking. Then, when you've finally reached that first night where she disrobes in front of you, you 'discover' that beneath her modest attire she's been smuggling a really nice pair of bona fide D-cups, impressively offsetting a smaller-than-you thought waist and flaring hips. It's a shame all RL surprises aren't always as pleasing.

I would never put on a corset. Looks waaaay too tight for me.most of these aren't really corsets anyway. the best way to start is with one that is only a little snug\, and adjust it in very small increments. anyone who looks really extreme has put a lot of time into that. do you wear high heels jabbergirl?

If I'm not mistaken, Bettie's most recent appearance was on Big Brother a year ago. I think her breasts are large and perfect.

What's likely is that the previous photo of Bettie that I posted was taken when she was smaller. Too bad photos don't have a date stamp.

Well we bought that corset, and 3 hours later it had been destroyed by her breasts. The steel bar that holds the hooks in was almost completly ripped out. it was a size 36 (not really sure what that means).

however the waist is real. I have seen pix of corsets pulled that tight before. If the girl is already thin, its not that hard and the dress enhances the effect by puffing out below to make the difference seem even greater.

you can tell the real ones from the heavy duty metal clasps closing up the front.
Personally I've been trying to lose a few pounds before buying a custom fitted corset. Good ones run upwards of $400-500 so I want to be at my ideal weight when i'm fitted for it. But I'll likely opt for a double layered duck canvas model, or something similarly durable, as my intent is to do some actual body shaping rather than having something pretty to wear :)

^Without a doubt, the best part of going to the Renn Faire with Eliza was watching her try on corsets. Wish I had some pix to share of a couple she tried on a couple seasons back. As the shopgirl pulled the last strings together Eliza's boobs just seemed to inflate and bulge up out of her shirt. I'm sure my eyes popped right out of my head. Stupid of me not taking a snap.

Depends on the venue also. When I worked at the Wynn casino, during their Dayclub pool area, a lot of young women would wear string bikinis because their bodies were fantastic and it was a 21+ age venue, so no big deal. No minors allowed. :)

Corsets have been worn about/ since 2000BC. Minimizing women's waists has been done for thousands of years. :o
Sorry, but I'm seriously doubting, that the designation "corset" was used BC. Maybe this is another of DJT's "truths" ;)?
