I had this strange bump on my right cheek that although didn't hurt, it looked awful. I made an appointment and went to it today. the doctor said it was a minor cyst that had fluid build up, causing the bump. He numbed my cheek and cut a tiny hole and lanced the cheek, removing the fluid, and he then removed most of a sack in my cheek that caused the fluid build up. I have an appointment next week to check on my cheek, and remove the remainder of the fluid sack. right now my cheek looks a LOT better, and i am so relieved i was thinking TUMOR

When u said minor, i was thinking brain surgery LOL. J/K. I have a few nodes all over me. Nothing bad, but in the cheek u never know. Dont feel bad either, i get my wisdom teeth out in 2 months. Maybe i wont be so cranky then lol.

well i went back to the hospital today to get the rest of the cyst removed. god damn does my face hurt, my cheek is all swollen, and i have stitches in it, ow, not enough pain killers in the world to stop this pain!. please, god kill me now!!

The main thing is that it's out and it should be over. In the course of my own life I've broken my left arm, contracted chicken pox at the age of 26, and passed a kidney stone -- plus, these days I keep everything in perspective by concentrating on Vixen. Hang on, James Boob.

Get well soon, my friend.

I should probably say that with a smile.
GET WELL SOON, MY FRIEND!

well amazingly the swelling went down a LOT since this morning. when i got home from the hospital thursday my cheek was puffy and sore. when i woke up friday morning, my right eye (the one that has 20/20, my left has 20/10) was swollen shut by my now MUCH puffier cheeck. the right side of my mouth's upper and lower lips were puffy too, and my speech came out all slurred like i was **94**. and i was drooling a lot, like when you come back from the dentist after tooth removal or worse. but as i am typing this my mouth area is back to normal, i can see out of both of my eyes (YAY!!), and my cheek while still puffy, is smaller than it was the day of the surgery. the PA (physician's assistant) said that most of the swelling will be gone by sunday/monday , and i go back to his office next week for a checkup and maybe have the stiches removed (hopes and prays for that). so within a week or so i should be back to my normal self. the only downside, i no longer scare the little ones at wal mart *laughs wickedly*.

Way to go! Hope the final steps are quick and painless.
