Isn't that up pic taken in the state park at the end of Iao Valley Road on Maui?

Nope....This was taken a little further north on the road around Maui (you can see the ocean in the background.  I know I live on Maui.

avalon, sorry to do this in the open, but you don't accept private messages.

Did the state ever finish the loop road? The last time I was on Maui, the paved part stopped at Hana. It was a great road to drive or walk, given those cliffs. I have an ex-wife from Lahainaluna High; she lives in Honolulu now.

It took a moment to figure out which one is the mom. She looks to have some pretty good proportions.

Regarding the Hana Highway, I was out there last fall and it was blocked off a couple miles past the Haleakala National Park visitor's center, if you're coming from Hana. That highway has a well deserved reputation of being quite a challenge to navigate with all of the tight curves and one-lane bridges. The scenery is breathtaking though.
