Can't help but suspect it was one of my IDQs that karlos is talking about, since she's right up my alley (and the pic does look familiar ;)). A truly fantastic model IMO: strong and beautiful and blissfully non-generic. Here's another:

Pal says: the filename on that last pic I posted seems to imply that it was from H&E magazine in 1989...I believe H&E stands for "Health & Efficiency" and is/was (I'm assuming) a nudist lifestyle mag.
I did some googling just now and ran across a nice little tumblr with a small stash of Melanie Davis pix that I've not seen before (btw, it names her as "Melanie Davies" and you get a lot more good hits from google when you include that "e") and I made a composite image of a few photos of her from the Miss Eureka (Oregon I again assume) 1987 competition. BTW: there are also quite a large number of Melanie Davis/Davies on Twitter, at least one of which might be her (with red hair now).
So, to answer your question, she was probably active in the mid-to-late 1980s. I'll post more of those competition pix as time allows for those not yet motivated to google. ;) I've attached that comp image to my prior post (due to 1-1-1) replacing the image I put there originally. Though it didn't specifically say so, I can only assume the photo on the right is also her, taken quite a while after her more well-known pix... I'd guess late 1990s or maybe even early oughts judging by the difference (or perhaps not that much later, but following nursing one or a whole passel of b@bies?).
The middle two photos are particularly impressive... I mean: will you just get a load of her profile?! :) Given that audience photography seems to have been permitted/encouraged at this nudist event, there's always a chance that someone shot some footage of her there... maybe on Super8 or VHS-C or Betamax or whatever format was in vogue around '87. I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what Melanie was like waking back and forth across that stage. ;) Breathtaking and pantstightening I'm sure. ;)

It's hard to imagine how any of her contemporaries could do anything but pale in comparison to Melanie, let alone all those skinny, almost-middle-aged hippie chicks who appear in nudist stuff back then. I mean: will you just look at Melanie?! Those firm-and-heavy-looking Labradors are hanging down to just a couple/few inches above her navel, fer petesake! And in the prior crossing-the-stage pix I posted, it can be seen that she's got a lovely curvaceous rump to help balance her very considerable frontage.
And then: short hair too! :D
Really, just a great looking woman in every respect!

I don't know if she's the same person (people can change a lot in 30 years), but...
There is a Melanie Davis who has a PhD in Sexuality Education, that could be around the right age...
Seems to me there could be a correlation - that an intelligent young woman, a nudist who is very likely comfortable in her own sexuality - could be interested in doing good by helping others become more comfortable in their own sexuality...

Not sure whether everything I found has already been posted in this thread or not... here's a pic that doesn't seem to have been posted before. I agree that there ought to be more of Melanie... she's not just great looking, but also unique... no easy task! :)
