Title: It is time!
Post by: Zorro on April 18, 2011, 03:23:33 PM
The last 4 years have certainly been rough for me.

However I am pleased to announce that my life has a brighter future than before.

I was informed in November 2010 that I was eligible for "Non Service Connected" pension through the Veterans Administration.

Like all government services the VA is no exception and after 5 months I was informed last Friday that my claim was approved and my first check was on it's way.

It certainly was very frustrating for me to wait to get my life back.

I look forward to seeing my grandsons again and of course morphing more pictures!

I am getting a new laptop tomorrow or the next day as well as a external HD to put the thousands of morphs on that I currently have on this current laptop.

I want to thank all of my fans here on the BEA for enjoying my morphs!

I just wanted to write an update as to my situation.

I have moved into my new apartment on May 2nd. It was a lot of work and I needed a few days rest before I started morphing again.

The only drawback is that these apartments do not have a washer/dryer in them and I have to take a bus to the laundromat since my car was repossessed during my homeless period.

I did lose some items during the move and only had one broken item, so I consider it a a successful move.

My birthday is next month and one of the great things about that is it will be my 60th year and I did not have to be at the V.A. Medical Center for it.

You may send money to me so I can buy old man stuff.  ;D

It has been over a year since I have added to this thread and what a year it was!

I found out that I can collect both my V.A. pension and Social Security disability pension at the same time. Because of my hip problems, I don't go out much, but I have to get a ton of paperwork signed and validated for the SS disability.

When this gets all done, I am going to take a trip to my old home town of Pittsburgh plus go to the area we moved to in 1963 - Southview, PA.

Sadly I have other news which is not so good.

A few weeks ago my daughter was arrested on drug charges in GA. My youngest son notified me of this then it was 2 or 3 weeks later that the same son told me his sister got probation and rehab.

During that 2 weeks I tried several times to contact my oldest kid to see if he had any updates on his sister. I also had complained to my youngest son that I never get any info on the current events or on my grandsons.

It came to shock to me when that oldest son, in public on FB, stated  "I wish to apologize for not being able to be a direct link to a family that barely knows you or at most times resents you for always playing the victim.  frankly we have had enough of your passive-aggressive, self loathing behavior. My siblings and I have done fine w/o you for most of our lives and will continue to do so. We don't need a father who is the constant victim."

I never saw myself as any sort of victim and all I would have liked was some sort of communication with him and my other 2 kids. Where he got that other crap is beyond my comprehension.

Well I was hurt and all, but not angry, however I "unfriended" all of them on my FB account so I won't be accused of being a victim or whatever else they dream up. Negative people just piss me off and it is best to stay away from them.

I have found that I get along and communicate better with bikers, veterans, and other non-family people.

Other than this little bump in the road I feel great and thankfully I have this computer and other social outlets to pass the time with.

To cut your youngest son even the slightest break, is it possible that's he's pussy-whipped?  I was pussy-whipped myself for a couple of months circa 1990 and the brainwashing is staggering to look back on, the right (or worst) woman can twist you all kinds of ways.  Because if he isn't ... well ...

I'm non-family myself (not exactly by choice, it's just sort of where I've wound up), Z-man, and I'm sure others like myself will continue to appreciate you. 8)

Zorro, I don't know what that stuff means, either, although if we can't loathe ourselves a bit now and then, we only leave the task to others.

Just one thing to add--Who you unfriend is your business, but I make people earn it on their own, I don't take anybody's word for it. I have an exe who was very good at telling me who didn't like me, until I discovered that it was really her, mostly.

It is so sad when your own flesh and blood are the ones who plunge the knife into your heart. I kinda know how it goes. After my parents divorce in 1972, after 25 years of marriage and 4 children ( the fifth one was stillborn ) , I always remember how my sister and mother would both say the most god awful stuff about my father and I had a very hard time reconciling the monster they talked about with the man I knew.  Considering my father never hit my sister that I know of, and to which she admits to be true, while sternly disciplining the boys, my sister's vitriol toward him is dismaying and confusing. I love both my parents and I took care of my mom after her stroke for 10+ years ( I don't recent it at all. The thought of her in a old folks warehouse was/is stomach turning to me. ). My father is almost 90 years old and he constantly wishes he could reconcile with my sister when we talk on the phone. I feel for you and I want you to know that you are not alone in difficult family drama.  :(

Well, here it is the day before Thanksgiving and I finally got all that damn paperwork signed, notarized and will be leaving in a few minutes to catch the bus and get to the post office to send the package on it's way.

I figure it will take about 6 months to a year to get it all approved and I believe it works just like my V.A. disability in that it will be retro-active back to the date it is filed with Social Security.

Hopefully I will be able to put a nice down payment on a new motorcycle and move to an apartment complex that allows pets!

Now if I only had someone like Rose waiting for me!

The paperwork was rejected by Binder and Binder because of the time it took to get it all done.

These assholes wanted me to re-submit everything.

I emailed them and told them thank you very little and fuck you very much.

In June I will be 62 and I'll file for my regular social security.

If you redid the papers and got accepted, would that status carry on past 62, until the age when you get FULL benefits from standard SS enrollment? (65, 67, whatever it is for you.) And would that, as I suspect, be more in the long term than taking permanently reduced benefits at 62 instead of waiting? Would receiving Social Security Disability until you reach full-benefits age be more than what you'd get by starting at 62? (Factor in those six months of getting something instead of nothing, and assume you live past the full-bennies age unless you have good reason to think you won't. For non-elites 71 or so is a good bet; that the rich can expect to live an average of four years longer is probably not news to you.)

If you plan to be here a good long while, I'd guess the hit in later years from filing early in June is worse than the lower amount (I assume) SSD would get you now. That's information you need to know as you choose your best course. If that's the case, you could be foregoing a lot of money because some idiot burro-crat got you mad. I'd suggest you get revenge instead: make them be crystal-clear on what the 'deficiency' was; satisfy it; push to make them accept the original submission date as the effective start-date (but don't jeopardize the new claim just to get a couple of extra weeks out of them.)

Math can be hard, but Kansassippi-dumb is harder. Dumb isn't something I'd have pegged you as being. If nothing else, I'd want those six checks enough to insist on them. Go get'em!

There are lawyers that are local that work with this sort of thing.

Since I already receive disability from the Veterans Administration, I have time to see what is the best bet for me.

Here's a morph to also check out.

Yesterday I received a letter from Social Security that my disability claim was denied.

This was expected, but it still sort of scared me since "Freedom Disability" is taking care of my case.

I was informed that I can now apply for regular Social Security while waiting on the disability claim. I think I had to get the denial first so as soon as I get my drivers license updated with my new address I will  go ahead and do this.

With both pensions now coming in my life has gotten a lot better.

For a lot of years during when I needed to have a job to survive I barely got by and now I want to enjoy my retirement now that I have a lot time to spare get me some pets.

I choose to live alone since every woman I had ever loved betrayed me.

I am not bitter or angry about it, but since the diabetes has made me impotent why have someone around to argue with?

Don't get me wrong, I still like women, but I no longer want to live with any at this time.

Anyway, since the subsidized house I am in has a no pets rule I will be moving again, but this time I have time to prepare for it.

This past weekend I adopted 2 rescue kittens.

They are brothers already neutered and have their shots etc.

They are about 6 to 8 weeks old and already have taken over my home.

Don't get me wrong I also like dogs, but being I still have the bad hip taking a dog out for walks is not an option at this time.

I was going to re-name the kittens, but I decided not to.

Rascal and Rookie are good enough.

Post by: Zorro on April 18, 2014, 04:42:26 PM
The deal for moving during the first week of May fell through, so I will be staying at the apartment complex a while longer.

I had an eye appointment yesterday at the V.A. and the cataracts in my left eye are pretty bad and I will need surgery. This is why I am only able to do morphs on a limited basis at this time.

Unfortunately I may have to wait 6 months to a year for the surgery as the V.A. is just as lousy as the path toward poverty known as The Affordable Care act which isn't affordable at all.

The only difference is that your tax dollars pay for my health-care at the V.A.

If the cataracts in my right eye start to get worse there may be a time where I won't be able to do morphs at all, but so far that eye hasn't gotten any worse yet.

Yeah; I had my checkup last week, too, 'cuz my doc has this thing about diabeetus (Wilferd Brimley's Revenge!) and he told me that my cataracts were coming along nice and slow.

I've had two cataract operations, one for each eye, and the last one was  three years ago. I have cataracts in each eye right now but since they are off to the side they don't interfere with my vision so it's best to let **83** dogs lay. I had my first one done, the left, when I was 49 years old and I had no idea at the time what the hell was happening. It is so slow that you tend to adjust and get used to it until finally it dawns on you your sight sucks. I went to the eye Doctor and in seconds she saw the cataract when she flashed a light on me. When told I needed it removed with a operation, I initially panicked because I remembered my paternal grandmother operation in the 60's and I didn't like the thought of a huge eye patch and weeks of recovery. The eye Doctor chuckled and said with lasik it would be done in 15 - 30 minutes and recovery in two days max but I would have to make sure I used the prescription drops faithfully for a few weeks.

The difference was dramatic. Colors were amazing again and I could read clearly again. My second cataract happened slowly but I then knew what was going on and got the operation done much sooner. Diabetes doesn't help but I've maintained my blood sugar A1C between 6 - 6.25 which ain't perfect but it's tolerable. No bread or pasta or sweets though  :(. Well, I do cheat sometimes but the guilt trip ain't pleasant.  ::)

I do not know if the V.A. has Lasik.

They are usually several years behind the times and who knows what the procedure is.

The Veterans Administration is like the Mafia - You go in alive and come out dead and nobody knows what happened.

Title: Cataracts
Post by: Zorro on November 05, 2014, 10:18:51 PM
I have done some research about different ways to treat cataracts without surgery.

Since I live alone and have no one where I live to help transport me to and from the VA Medical Center, for an operation the VA will not operate on me.

There is an eye drop product that can help to treat the condition. I checked with different sources to make sure that the product is safe with no bad side effects to worry about.
Besides the normal condition of having the vision in my left eye starting to be like looking through a opaque shower curtain I had like what looks like tiny black dots floating around in both eyes. The eye doctor at the VA told me the dots were located between the surface of the eye and the lens.

After 2 days the dots are nearly all gone and I take this as a sign of improvement and hopefully the cataracts will take a few more weeks to clear up as well.

I still get headaches when I am morphing pictures, but not as quick as was a few days ago.

Only time will tell if this works for me, but so far things are a lot better.

Does Lyft (https://www.lyft.com/) or Uber (https://www.uber.com/en-US/) operate where you live?

What do you mean?
Title: Re: It is time!
Post by: Zorro on November 07, 2014, 07:46:57 AM
It's not just a transportation issue.

The VA insists that someone would need to help me in my home for a while the day of the operation.
This is also why I can not get the hip surgery done because I would need help the first week or so.

The Veterans Administration nationwide has it's own issues and the Hampton Medical Center is not in the best shape right now as far as veterans waiting months for simple medical care. Thankfully I have been a V.A. patient since 2000, but even I have to wait a month to 3 months for some appointments.

Emergencies are different of course, but no matter how many vets are in the ER it make take 3 to 6 hours before you are seen by a doctor.

The only difference between the Veterans Administration and Obamacare is that the V.A. is free to retirees and when I was working my meds were only $7.00 a prescription.

Just a few days ago a vet died within 5 days due to patient neglect and this bothers me as well.

I hope this answers you question SwitcherX.

Zorro, is there anything we can do to help?

Now that is question I never heard during my past ups and mostly downs during my years on the BEA.

I am fortunate that I was able to retire at 62 and also receive a disability pension from the V.A. With this I was able to end my dependence on subsidized housing and have the freedom to do things like acquiring 2 eight week old kittens who have reached a year old. The subsidized housing folks would not let me have pets.

Many veterans have therapy dogs for helping with PTSD and other mentally challenging conditions, but even though I can qualify for one of these animals I prefer to have my "boys" who are brothers out of the same litter.

So I thank you Gonzo for your concern and the best way anyone can help me is to keep liking my morphs even though I am not able to produce the quantities I had before.
It is a joy to me that there are other people who like, desire and love large breasted women as I do.

Title: This past weekend...
Post by: Zorro on December 23, 2014, 10:30:32 PM
I went out of the apartment for a while to do some grocery shopping.

Since I only needed a few items I walked over to the Family Dollar store. I came in contact with very few people yet by Sunday night I had flu symptoms and yesterday it got worse. This morning I had to go out again to do my laundry and tonight I took some meds to help me out.

Right now I feel a tad weakened but the coughing, sneezing and headache have just about stopped.
The thing is since I am allergic to eggs I can not get a flu shot.

Some of the other home remedies I also did was chicken noodle soup and the plenty of liquids route too. When I was a youngster my mother would also make me drink pineapple/grapefruit juice, which I really didn't like much so that was the only thing I left out.

I tell ya, if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.

This happened to me yesterday!

I had returned from the gun show and even though I was not able to buy a gun I did have a fun day.
It appears that I needed to have 2 forms of ID to fill out the paperwork and all I had was my drivers license.

Even though my hip was hurting pretty bad, I went to the Golden Corral at about 4 pm and something remarkable happened to me.

A young black man came up to me at my table and asked me if I was a veteran. Even though it was pretty evident because I was wearing my Navy Vietnam Veteran ball cap and wearing a T-shirt that had written on it "Vietnam Veteran Medicated for Your Protection." I did not give a smart ass answer.
I just said "Yes" and he said he was paying for my dinner and thanked me for my service. I was stunned because I will, when I have the cash, pay for military members meals.

This had never happened to me before and it just goes to show you that with all this racial tension going on in our country today one young black man showed me respect and it is an honor to us both that he did this wonderful thing.
