Bust Artist,

If you are indeed ready to undertake such a massive project I am more than willing to help out in any way I can. I have been a colorist for an underground comic, a cell painter and clean up artist for a very small and underfunded animation company and I work fast, though that may not be apparent from how often I manage to update my gallery (the last three months have been something of a fluke).

Seriously,

BA, I think you all *know* we want your next grand masterpiece but if you want to reduce us to begging, then so be it.

PLEASE CAN WE HAVE A 50-page BE comic BUST ARTIST, PLEASE?!

Now, take your pound of flesh and make the comic already!

To me would be a please to pay for it.
A 50 page full color comic by Bust Artist centered on BE would be one of the holy grails of all BE history. 8-)

You shouldn't tease us like that, it could cause riots or little accidents.

Ye Gods Man!  It's like waving a huge Texas T-bone in front of a mob of crazy, starved pit bulls.  Seriously though, your artwork is greatly appreciated throughout the community. Your last big series was quite an endeavor as well. Keep up the great work.

(Responding while bandaging the offering hand that's been chewed off to a bloody stump.)

Wow. Here, I cast my line to test the waters and next thing you know, there is a feeding frenzy going on.

But, truely, the praise and encouragement are very much appreciated, albiet, I admit, a little overwhelming (in a good way).

This project has been tossed around in my head for... oh... about a year -- in one form or another.  Some may remember the poll I put up a few months ago.  The results of which, were very encouraging.

Am I at the starting line?  No.  I am well into this race.  But I am far from the finishline.  It is, indeed, an enormous project.  But one that I am determined to complete.  When? That's the hard part.  I hope to complete it by this Fall.  But that is not a promise.

This is an huge undertaking, but I feel up to it.  Because of the scope of the project, this cannot be in the "freeware" category as all of my work for the past 6 years has been. It would be self-defeating.

BUT, if this first issue is a success, it won't be the last.

How far am I?  There are many stages:
• 99% -- Written
• 100% -- Planned out (each page sketched in thumbnail form-- a storyboard, if you will)
• 8 pages -- Full sized, blue sketch
• 5 pages -- cleaned up and outlined
• 4 pages -- colorized.

I may release more details on this project in the future. So please watch for updates.

BA, I can't believe you are honestly suprised by all this attention...I mean, "Wishful Thinking" is still a legend.      I'm hoping this will make you realize your true calling, providing for your (And Ms. Kat's...  ) um...'needs'.      The rest of us will just fund it.

BTW...need any help?  I have some art training (I'm not gonna mention how much...paranoid) but hey, how often does one get to offer to help out a legend?

Well this is encouraging news indeed BA. I'm quite certain - although not in a totally, jinx inducing 100% way - that this will do well and that we'll all pay you our hard earned/ sponged money.

Seriously, I meant it as a compliment.  I can tell from your previous work that you spend quite a large amount of time working on the work that you release, and I am also glad to hear from you again in the forum. Warlock is right....your work is very respected in this community as are several other artists, authors, and morphers. Your quality and content has always been well reguarded. Look forward to seeing your work again.....

Powerplay:  I took your post as a compliment.  Sorry if it seemed that I didn't.  I was just having fun with the imagery.

Besides, I like steak.

To the rest:  Had a boring day at the office on Friday, especially being there alone as everyone else was away, and took the time to ink 4 more pages.

I don't know if you're looking for pin-ups to go along with the comic, but if you are, I could produce something for you.

I don't know, if you're interested, let me know.  I'd offer to help in some other way, but I'm in the middle of so many other things, I wouldn't be able to be very responsive.
