We stopped watching as of the start of this year for all the reasons listed above. Have not wanted to watch her show, and frankly did not know it was on. Sounds like they will make at least another 'season' of them.
The Food Network has been trying for years to fill the 'Indian / Ethnic' food slot on their roster. ^ I find it a slight bit insulting that they assume that you have to be of a culture in order to make the food. Does this mean that she can not cook good Italian or Irish food?
Neither Kithara nor I like Indian cuisine. Also, just slapping a spice on an otherwise non-Indian dish does not magically make it Indian. Say, like a beef pot roast. *
Nice to see that TFN finally found a photogenic woman of Indian decent with enough in front of the camera ability to run through the network screened menu of shows to fit the target demographic. Sounds tasty...
Oh, and Bobby Flay is a total tool.
* Do I need to explain why that dish is my example?
^ There was an early episode, say in season 2 or 3 where one of the judges actually said this from the standpoint of what the network was wanting to fill, sort of a colors of Benetton selection process.
