Four and a half minutes from clicking "Quote" to getting the form to open.

Probably will take another four and a half minutes from the time I click "Post" to the page finally rendering.

My guess (from experience) is that the forum's server and the software has been running essentially on its own for a long time. One or the other has developed an issue resulting in the slow operation. A reboot, when someone can go attend to the server clears the problem and all is well for awhile until the uptime again reaches a critical point or whatever triggers it happens and its super slow again. The frequency of this happening will increase until either the hardware or software issue is addressed.

I literally clicked on the link for this thread, went to the washroom, made a sandwich, and put a lasagna in the microwave, and came back to see the thread just open up.  Fucking ridiculous.

I usually go to the other sites I go to and read the articles, news or whatever else might pique my interest and when I finally see the little spinning wheel go away in this window, I then read what is here. I just read a portion of a Popular Mechanics article on SpaceX about their space ship.

And I was able to beat Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us II, Metal Gear Solid and be halfway through Grand Theft Auto V. Just sloooooooooooooooooooooow.
