I'd rather be too hot than too cold, too.  30C is damned uncomfortable, but if you are careful you can manage it.  -30C is basically Mother Nature trying to kill you as quickly as possible, and you better hope that you're either extremely well dressed, or you can get inside within a few minutes.

When I was much younger, I actually had a job that required me to work outside in the winter, and there was a stretch where it was -50C.  That's my touchstone for comparison in life for misery, weather wise.

113 is a new record for me, and I had to go to the store so I went to the closest one and there were hardly any traffic like the first day of the pandemic.

Fair point.  I've never really been that cold.  I think the coldest I've experienced is -15C, but with high humidity and that is the killer in my opinion.

At 4:18 AM or 0418 hours, it is 95F or 35C at this time with 12% humidity right now. The high will be 106F or 41C. Typical Summer weather here.

It's 34C, feeling like 37, with 28% humidity here right now.  It's supposed to get to 36 tomorrow.   

That being said, at least I'm not in Lytton, British Columbia.  Yesterday, it set the all time Canadian record high temperature, at over 46C.  They say it has a chance to break that record in the next couple of days.

It's 7:40 PM or 1940 hours and 104F or 40C with 8% humidity. Not so bad.

It is now 91F or 33C at 4AM or 0400 hours and humidity is 15%. As a side note, humidity is higher now in the Las Vegas valley than it has been historically because as the city and its environs has grown, people introduced trees and other vegetation which required water irrigation which of course some will evaporate into the atmosphere and make it more humid than normal.

Current weather at 8:52 PM or 2052 hours is 86F or 30C. Lower than normal because it is raining. It's ok, it will keep the AC from running so much which will keep the power bill lower.

At 7:15 AM or 0715 hours it is .... 77F or 26C which is really low for this time of the year.  Humidity is 54% which is extremely high here. I can see the rain just West of me at the foothills of the mountains surrounding the valley. The high will be a low 97F or 36C for us. Weather is weird right now.

36 here now, again.  Supposed to be the same tomorrow.  Then it will finally start cooling off.  The death toll in the Northwest for this heatwave is over 150.
