At about 4:26AM or 0426 hours, it is 81F or 27C with 69% humidity. Last night there were thunderstorms and heavy rain by The Strip but it was dry in this part of the valley. The forecast high should be 98F or 37C at about 4:45PM or 1645 hours with a chance of rain at about 5PM or 1700 hours somewhere in the valley.

It's 9:56 pm, and it's still 26, feeling like 28, with thundershowers.  We went to Heritage Park here in Calgary today, and it got up to 31, feeling like 36.  We had to go home early, because even with sunblock we were getting sunburn, and we couldn't drink enough to keep up with the sweating.

Heat WITH humidity is much more oppressive than just the heat itself. When I lived in Houston back in the early 70's during my High School years, I remember that as soon as you left an air-conditioned space and walked to the outside, a wall of muggy hot air hit you and you would start sweating profusely and your clothes would get wet and sticky. There was also a smell of mildew on the air.

I agree - I live in a country with generally high humidity and it is the most uncomfortable thing with temperature. Equally in summer and winter.
