Supposed to fly in the near future for space tourism.
Any ETA on the first flight, or the cost of a ticket?

Lynx was cancelled in 2016 and the parent company, XCOR, went bankrupt the year after.

I guess since these were plans that never came to fruition, I could tease solvegas that he’s only supposed to post science fact here and not science fiction like he did to me went I posted a pic of the then proposed Soviet Moon lander. LOL

But, I wouldn’t do that as both the Soviet Union and XCOR fully intended to carry out their proposals.  Reality can be harsh, sometimes, though.

I wasn't aware of that fact. I thought, since the source of the graph/article was online, that it was a real spaceship. As for the teasing, I deserve to be made fun off since I didn't do more research and follow through. My bad.

Space Shuttle Enterprise used back in 1977 for testing the aerodynamics of the shuttles and to test its ability to be transported on a modified 747. it had no engines or heat tiles so it never went to space. It is on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.  :)

The SS Enterprise was moved to the USS Intrepid back in 2012, which currently acts as NYC’s Sea, Air & Space Museum.  I remember watching it come up the river on a barge at the time.

Yeah, both men are definitely over-over-compensating for something... :D

This is true.

"On Nov. 20, 2003, workers towed Enterprise from its hangar into the newly completed Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. Specialists restored the orbiter and the public was finally able to see it on Dec. 15.  In 2011, NASA retired the Space Shuttle fleet and donated the vehicles to various museums around the country. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City acquired Enterprise, and on Apr. 27, 2012, workers removed the orbiter from its display at the Udvar-Hazy Center and placed it atop a SCA for the final time. After a short flight from Dulles and a flyaround of New York and several of its famous landmarks, Enterprise landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport. There to greet it was Leonard Nimoy who played Mr. Spock in the original Star Trek television series. Nimoy had been there in 1976 when Enterprise first rolled out in Palmdale.  Workers lifted the orbiter from the SCA and placed it on a barge. It eventually arrived at the Intrepid Museum on June 3 and went on public display July 19. Enterprise suffered minor damage during Superstorm Sandy in 2012, but has been fully restored."

This month also marks the 43rd anniversary of the Space Shuttle Enterprise first being rolled out to the launch pad, on May 1, 1979.

I think the biggest difference here is that the Crew Dragon has successfully taken many people to orbit and the ISS, whereas the Starliner has yet to launch without a glitch, much less carry any crew.  Oh, yeah, the Starliner also cost a hell of a lot more and has had severe cost overruns, too.

Boeing basically is trying to cheap out and just do a remix of the classic Lunar Modules, whereas Mr. Musk is trying to Tesla-ize his. Design-wise, I prefer SpaceX's version.
