At home inflatable rigs - DIY
« on: November 29, 2021, 11:42:49 AM »
Hello Everyone,

New-ish poster, long time lurker. TBH I moved away from the forum for a bit and engaged with reddit and such for a long time. Recently made my way back.

Anywho, as I mentioned in a comment in Charade's wonderful thread,I have been designing and building portable BE rigs that my S.O uses. This post is to generate some enthusiasm for DIY BE builds, be it prosthetics, balloons, bra stuffing etc. A place to share what works and what we've learned.

Some things I've learned.
My first rig was very basic, sports bra with balloons and aquarium tubing, a T tube splitter, and a blood pressure cuff inflation bulb. It worked, was a nice way to ease my S.O into what I liked about this fetish. Eventually we found that they would inflate un-evenly as the balloons resistance were different. so we remedied this with use of 1 way check valves. But as many of you who enjoy the fetishes media, balloons in a sports bra look like, well, balloons. And a purely water filled rig has too much sloshing to make a realistic rig.

So I set off on finding a way to make a rig that both expands, and has heft, jiggle, and I can give a good squeeze and have satisfying squish. My next expirements in rigs used gels and foams. Eventually I came across sodium polyacrilate. This material can be found in absorbent **39** pads, can be used to control moisture in campers and boats off season etc. It can hold many many times it's weight in moisture, and in the right concentration creates a very visicous gel.

This still left me in a conundrum, getting the gel filled balloons to inflate, inflate evenly and be able to deflate to make it portable. Through trial and error I found that using 10gram red weather balloon (bought from scientificsale.com) were durable enough to expand quite large, hold up to the abuse, and had a large neck opening to work with.
Eventually I figured out that the balloon nest together pretty easily, so I inserted an un-inflated balloon into the neck of a balloon full of gel. Into the neck I slid the aquarium tubing, and then used rubber bands to close up the whole shebang. The rigs mechanics are fairly simple now, the air filled balloon is it inside a gel filled balloon. The air filled balloon expands, pushing outward on the gel filled balloon, causing the gel filled balloon to expand. The rig is contained in a sports bra. The best I've found so far is a front clasping, spandex sports bra with removable padding. The reasons are: the front clasp allows for EZ on and off, so the rigs tubing does not get stretched or misaligned because the rig doesn't have to come up and over her head. The spandex allowed for significant stretch. And the removable padding allows a pocket for the balloon rig to settle into. I've found the rig is best functional when the neck of the balloon is oriented down, allowing the gel to settle and the interior inflation balloon to push up and through, as opposed to floating on top per se.

Finally, we have 2 inflation methods, 1 is the BP cuff bulb mentioned above, that allows for a fun portable rig, she can keep it tucked up by the back of the rig so we can wear a jacket to disguise it, or extend it down a into a pocket using longer tubing. There is also a quiet air pump we use at home for a wonderful slow steady inflation. She just needs to be hooked up to an outlet.

My next expirement is going to be with a roayner form. More on these thoughts later.
This imgur link has photos of my various builds. The tan rig is the easy, light weight public rig. Boosts mt S.O up from a B cup to a D cup, weighs about 1.8KG. it gets plenty big to turn heads when we use it in public.

There's the purple rig which is massive. Weighs in at 4.5KG and couldn't even begin to guess what size it makes her when she puts it on. The purple is definitely a sleciy occasions only and not a portable rig. It's a little too much on her poor shoulders but not lying to say it gets enormous.

Well, it's a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow...

A little update for you all. So I let myself experiment a bit and worked on the purple BE setup a bit more. As these things go, I ended up making it bigger, and then went even bigger. Right now it sits at about 7.7kg or about 15lbs. By my math that puts it's somewhere in the range of 3800-4000cc give or take. The smaller portable setups are being refined and tinkered with as well. The other day my S.O snuck into the bedroom and put on the huge rig without my knowledge, and started pumping. she called for me to stop puttering around with chores and called me into the bedroom. Starting at 4000cc it doesn't take long for them to get absolutely massive. I've blurred a photo of her for our privacy and I'd appreciate if the photo stays at the bearchive. It was quiet a fun afternoon, I love when they expand so far to the sides of her torso.

That looks great! I have to say you are a lucky guy to have a SO willing to play like that. I look forward to seeibg/hearing what other changes you implement going forward.
