A year has gone by and you never see any of the amazons in the forest again. You wonder whatever happened to Jinoe. Did she sacrifice herself to save you? You wish you knew what happened to her. Depression sets in. You lose interest in hunting bigfoots and return to your normal boring grind of going to work, going to the gym, playing video games, and napping. Some friends encourage you to join them at a bar. You reluctantly go, but you have never been the same since your incident with the amazons. You arrive, order a beer, then head to the table with your friends. However, a tall red head catches your eye. She looks over at you, her face lights up immediately. "HI! Please, come!" You gesture at your friends, then walk over to the lady. "Jinoe?" you cautiously ask. "YES! You remember me!" She tells you of how the amazons caught her and because she helped you escape that she was shunned from the village. She tells you about the rock that the leader was sitting on and how it came from the sky many moons ago and that it changed everything. It sounded like an origin story of sorts, that there were two people living there with their offspring, the meteor appeared, and it turned the men all tall, muscular, and extremely hairy, and the women all got tall, curvy, and red hair. The longer they were around the rock the more pronounced the effect. So older women had bigger boobs and were taller than younger ones. After a while all offspring were women and the men eventually became more interested in walking through the woods and watching strangers from a distance. That is why the amazons lured men in the forest in order to continue their blood line. But knowing men that stayed around the village would eventually turn into "Bigfoots" the women would evict them. Eventually it just got easier to kill and eat them.
You look at Jinoe and ask her if she is sad that she is shunned, knowing she can never see her family again. "Honestly, I am much happier here. The city is a fascinating place. I have filed for citizenship, I took English classes to perfect my speech, and now I work as a barista part time while I go to school. I live in an apartment that I share with another girl. It is definitely more hectic than village life. And now I am even happier that I found you." She blushes and gives you a hug. "I won't get any taller, my boobs won't get any bigger. It was really hard to find clothes to fit me. It still feels weird to me that you all don't run around naked, but I guess I will get used to it. Perhaps if you aren't busy later we could do what we didn't do back in the village?"
You are both excited, but also hesitant. She sees the confusion on your face. "Ok. How about we sit here and enjoy the evening together. Get to know each other more, then just play it by ear?" You smile and agree, clinking your beer glasses together and enjoying a long night of stories, comradery, and whatever would come next.
