There is a part of the Grand Canal shoppes where you can embark on a Venetian style gondola and take a boat ride inside the property and also go out of the building and onto The Strip.

No, it is not the Luxor. The Luxor is approximately 4 miles south of the Venetian and the Luxor obelisk can't be seen from the canal shoppes. The Grand Canal Shoppes are an indoor mall whose stores are replicas of places at Venice, Italy, and the obelisk you see belongs to one of the stores inside the mall.
