There are things I would apologize for if people would let me know I did something wrong and asked for an apology, instead of going off to complain to someone else, so I get taken to task and penalized without being told what it was I allegedly did wrong.

Anyone is free to make apologies here. If you realized you were honestly wrong about something, this is the place to let everyone know. Maybe you want to apologize on behalf of someone or certain group of people. You know you have been wrong about something.

So people perpetuate a lie, act as arbiters of truth, dehumanize and even censor anyone who questions them, do so with a smug look on their face, then get exposed for the bullshit they forced everyone to believe in, act like it never happened, face no accountability, and move on to the next narrative.
