Later known as the Flatiron Building.  That picture is the building when it was almost brand new, as it was built in 1902.  Iconic.   :)

On top of Castle Rock in Edinburgh, Scotland, Edinburgh castle was built during the reign of Malcolm III in the 11th century and was the Royal residence until 1633 and it declined but in the 1600's it became a military garrison and over the last 150 years it has been restored and modernized a few times. Remember, the big difference between the British and Americans is that Americans think 100 years is a long time and the British think that 100 miles is long way. ;) ;D

On October 24, 1971, Texas Stadium was opened in a suburb of Dallas called Irving and my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys played there for 38 seasons until they moved to Cowboys Stadium, now ATT Stadium, in 2009. It was demolished in 2010. I remembered I toured the stadium back in 1974 and it was great. Lotta fond memories, especially when Roger Staubach was the main Cowboys quarterback in the 70's.  :)

The Laxey Wheel (also known as Lady Isabella) is built into the hillside above the village of Laxey in the Isle of Man (British Crown Dependency).
It is the largest surviving original working waterwheel in the world.Designed by Robert Casement, the wheel has a 72-foot-6-inch (22.1 m) diameter, is 6 feet (1.8 m) wide and revolves approximately three times per minute.
The wheel was built in 1854 to pump water from the Glen Mooar part of the Great Laxey Mines industrial complex

Located at the Texas Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, it was opened in 1930, and it is still open even though it doesn't have any more college or pro teams playing in it. Back in the 60's, the Dallas Cowboys played in it and the main Quarterback of the time was dandy Don Meredith, who retired in 1969 and in 1970 he became part of the Monday Night football games announcers along with Howard Cossel and Frank Gifford.

I'm kinda boggled it doesn't have a regular team in it of any sport.  Over 92,000 capacity and just renovated in 2008, you'd think it would attract somebody.  I can see it being torn down in the future if the situation doesn't change, which would be a shame.   :(
