Opened in July 2020, with a capacity of 65,000, a domed stadium which is home for the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team and the UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) Rebels college football team, it has a side movable window which gives a view of The Strip. It is nicknamed " The Roomba" since it kinda looks like that robotic vacuum cleaner and Allegiant Stadium since the corporate sponsor is Allegiant Airlines, which is the locally owned airline. Super Bowl LVIII was played here this year.

From Roman history, the Harbor of Carthage. The Romans had three wars against the Carthaginians, which they called the Punic wars, were the most famous Carthagenian General, Hannibal the great, came close to destroy the Roman Republic, yet he was defeated. The Romans invaded Carthage and destroyed it, and they did rebuild the harbor and Romanized it. It is still in use 2,000+ years later.

Located in Downtown Las Vegas right by the Fremont Street experience, the world's largest video street display, The 4 Queens is one of the most reasonably priced places in Las Vegas.

On November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress established the Marine Corps to aid the Continental Navy against pirates, foreign vessels, and they became essentially Naval Infantry. The Marine Corps Monument in Arlington, Virginia, near the Arlington National cemetery, was unveiled on November 10, 1954, and it is the largest bronze monument in the USA.

About 20 miles from where I live, is Nellis Air Force Base, which was named after a test pilot that died tragically when his test aircraft failed, back in the late 40's, and it is the home for the Thunderbirds, the US Air Force flight demonstration squadron, where the Red Flag exercises are done where American and NATO allies train for war, and North of the base is the Nuclear Weapons Testing Facility, when back in the 1950's and 1960's above ground nuclear weapons were tested and the casinos here in Las Vegas would ask the place to test them at night so that tourist could see the flash easier. The base is actually huge, it is bigger than the Las Vegas metropolitan area and one reason a huge part of Nevada, 86%, is owned by the Federal government.   You can see Las Vegas in the background.

Point Loma submarine base is the largest submarine facility in the Pacific Ocean of the US Navy in San Diego and I was stationed there three different times for 12 years total in my Naval career. When I was there, those floating pylons were not there but after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, they were put there to protect vessels from terrorists.
