Has anyone compiled some of the longer-running branches into stories?

Assuming that you are referring to the addventure, then the answer is yes. See https://addventure.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/trees/links.html and scroll down to the section headed "Stories based on the Addventure". Bear in mind that it hasn't been updated since Adama left, so there could be other stories by now. Also some of the links there may be dead by now.

You could trying asking on the BEAddventure Discord. If you are not already a subscriber to that, there's a link on the Recent Episodes page.
