Thinking of starting to write a story...

Hello, this part of the forum seems a bit dead, but maybe a quiet place isn't so bad for me. I'm thinking of writing a story after being inspired by some online (DA) artwork.

The art is about a young pretty-but-normal woman, no older than her early 20s, who's into fitness/running but decides to get implants. Then she gets progressively bigger implants until by the end she has expanders and looks to be over 2,000 cc, but is still into working out. Also, aside from her tits, she looks the same as before (i.e. no tattoos/piercings, no other work done). The art really checks a lot of boxes for me because it's a woman starting young with implants, doesn't go the full bimbo lifestyle, but still gets progressively bigger and bigger.

The art has titles but no captions, but I can just imagine a story where initially she just wants to fill out a little, but eventually she falls into the boobie greed trap. Then, she has to balance her running lifestyle with her obsession with getting bigger. She eventually has to make concessions to her running because of her tits, but she's still at least into fitness and working out.

The personal confession part from me is, I think I need an outlet for my breast expansion fetish. I don't know anyone in real life I can share my obsession with. Through some unforeseen health circumstances, I can't actually get out much. Online, I don't see a lot of breast-expansion-via-implants/expanders fiction that really satisfies me. It's pretty hard to find expansion-via-xl-implants talk that doesn't also delve into the bimbo lifestyle, which I'm just not into. I also don't have much experience as an artist, so I thought I'd try my hand at writing.

Anyway, I've already started writing it and hopefully I'll post it here. I've just always been a lurker here so I thought making some kind of announcement would kinda force me to finish.

Okay, so writing is hard. I haven't forgotten about this story and am trying to work in it as a side project, but it is trickier than I thought. A lot of it is became I tend to be very deliberate, and things people pick up intuitively, I kind of have to consciously figure out.

The unexpected challenge for me is, when it comes to breast expansion fiction/erotica, I'm mainly used to (1) short-ish stories and (2) stories where the growth is fairly quick because of magic, chemicals, whatever. And I feel like the two are kinda related. Quick expansion leads to more stories that happen over the course of hours or days. I feel like that makes it easier to have shorter, more focused stories. Like a couple pages to less than 10 pages or so.

With expansion via breast implants, if ones wants something realistic, multiple surgeries have to happen over months/years, fills happen over weeks/months/years. That can still be done with short-ish stories, but then you have to have jumps in time or passages that cover a span of time. So then I get into... are there any parts of the story I should gloss over? How long should this story be? If I cover all of her surgeries equally, that means a lot of time in-between surgeries to at least account for. So many choices to make!

So then I start thinking about pacing. Like what part of the story happens as a scene and what happens as a description. e.g. if the main character/MC has a conversation with her plastic surgeon, when is it better to write out dialogue and when is it better to say "she went to the plastic surgeon and booked her surgery."

Anyway... writing is hard.
