This site was down for half the day today.

I had just finished putting up my posts into the General Discussion section of the forum and I proceeded to the Off Topic section and the site collapsed on me and I got a message from my Microsoft Edge Browser stating it was a 522 Error, nothing wrong with the Browser but the site server was offline. I went to other sites, and everything worked fine on them, and I was hoping it wouldn't be like prior meltdowns in years past were so many photos on the posts disappeared. So far, it seems ok.

I've experienced another site down event on Friday, 18-Jul-2025, 15:00 to 17:00 MESZ (it said something that they had problems with the database).
But I think it helpful to address such events here.
Next time I will note the reason given and cite it as well.

In the 24 years I've been lurking and posting on this site, it has had several meltdowns and if you look at many of the older threads, like Beshine's for example, you'll notice that many of the photos that she initially added have disappeared.
