Trying to find some lost media
« on: March 13, 2026, 08:26:37 PM »
I have a memory of watching a documentary of some sort.  I don't know if it was about pregnancy in general, or if it was a "hey look how cool and weird human bodies are", but they had a scene of a woman on a treadmill.  They had her walk on the treadmill every day during her pregnancy, and they edited all the walking sequences together to make a moving timelapse video of her belly and boobs getting bigger and bigger while she walked.  It stuck with me because her boobs got way bigger than I expected, and they jiggled nicely at the end of the sequence as she walked along.

I couldn't tell you what channel it was on, but I remember thinking it was shockingly well done... like, i think the camera even rotated around her while she walked and morphed from skinny to curvaceous?  I randomly remembered it recently, and found myself unable to google it... I just got tons of pornhub slop.

Does anyone else remember this, or any details about it?  It wasn't meant to be porn, but man, it was jaw-dropping.

I know exactly the video you are talking about. It was a BBC Science Documentary by the way.
Look here for the search I conducted about 16 years ago.
https://forum.bearchive.com/index.php?topic=346619.msg10079382#msg10079382

I will attempt to attach a reduced version MP4 of the middle segment.

Search terms that helped find the segment were:
"Pregnancy Progression Time Lapse Treadmill BBC"

Realize that this documentary was produced in the very late 1990s and aired in the USA in early 2000. So, the media is now over 25 years old.

The woman was surprisingly large to start with (this was not her first pregnancy) She did get surprisingly large in the final segment on the treadmill. I have never found the portion from 6 to 10 months. She also has a background in the arts and creative expression.

It helps to have extensive memory banks.

Awesome!  Unfortunately the linked file doesn't work for me, nor does the original dailymotion link in the 16 year old post.  Even tried wayback machine on the dailymotion link,  no joy :-p

Any chance you remember the name of the documentary?

edit: actually never mind, found it!  https://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x8dtebi
The documentary (from 1998) is called "The Human Body", and the treadmill thing is in episode 1. ("an everyday miracle")

Glad you were able to find it on dailymotion. Nice that it was essentially as I recalled from back in 1998, about 1 year after the BEA formed as I said. I recall that there were some other segments about "The Human Body".
