As far as I know, bats are not related to other rodents like rats or squirels, so they're not rats with wings (or any other tuype of flying rodent)... they're what we call chiropters (or however you spell it), which means winged-hands or flying hands... since this thread has gone compleately random, I don't think it'll hurt to throw in this little cientific fact...
